Pros A lot of minor characters now have much more to them The combat system is fun The Japanese audio is fantastic Cons Frequent low-quality textures that don't pop into the high-quality counterparts Unrealistic situations. For example, time is of the essence, but we have time to sit down and talk for 5 minutes

Great game. Significant improvement from PS1 FF7 to PS4 FF7. Great picture from 1080p to 4k. Huge difference. I would rather see a gamer play then play the game. The graphics are so great that you will be asking yourself should I play or just watch.

Final Fantasy VII Remake takes all of the characters and scenarios people grew to love in the late 90s and brings them to a 2020 vision exploding with amazing HD details, added backstory, and a revamped combat system. Hearing the familiar orchestral score and spotting Aerith for the first time were highlights!

It's not a bad game. It can get really repetitive at times really quick. The fact you can cruise through the game in a few days if you don't do any side quests.

Mix of old and new, if you're reluctant stay away. If you enjoy a different take on a favorite franchise, then play. Absolutely loved every minute just like the original. Even with the liberties taken. I can't wait for. The next 2-3-100!!!!

This game is very funny and arguably the best looking PS4 game. Unfortunately it’s not full story from the original PS1 game. A must buy if it’s on sale.

As someone who played the original about 16 times since 1997 I was worried about a lot of things regarding this remake, but for 90% of the ride I was in love. I have some personal nitpicks with the rest of that 10% but overall it's a fantastic game and a great retelling of one of my favorite games of all time.

Think Resident Evil 2 Remake. but with more padding. if padding is boring to you, then you will think less of game. otherwise, very good take on the old game.

One of my favorite games. I’m currently at chapter 14 and I’m having lots of fun playing it. The graphic is amazing and the character designs are so cool. Oh and I’m just in love with the summons. I never played the original FF7 but this remake definitely makes me fall in love with the series. Get it!!!

While the ending may be controversial I really enjoyed the game. The gameplay was fun and fluid. Love the character development and had some amazing scenes. There are definitely some random ps2 textures but the game overall is beautiful. Look forward to the next game and hope the stick the landing.

This game was an amazing experience. I really liked the new direction of this new game while others might not. Try to come into this game with an open mind of what it could be instead of what you experienced in the original. Great game!

This remake is everything you wanted to experience in Midgar and more. As someone who enjoys doing side-quests and pushing off the main story for as long as possible -- both options are equally rewarding, if not just for spending more time accomplishing tasks with the classic crew.

When I saw that this game didn't have the original turn based fighting system, I was very annoyed and felt a little betrayed. But in order to do well and in some cases, survive, everything you do must be deliberate and calculated. This isn't just a button mashing game, and like the original, you'll definitely have to utilize all of your characters to survive and do well in most fights. I appreciate that there's some level of strategy since this isn't turn based. Hopefully, I can get passed the reimagined plot threads without hurting someone.

I really liked the remake. It added on the story and provided quite a bit of new content to the original. I do wish that it continued beyond Midgar, but I can understand the cutoff. In this case it was quite a thematic exit to it. I really enjoyed the new bosses and storyline that was included.
