Watching a game that made my teen years grow up to this awesome experience is amazing. It could use a patch to fix some issues but doesn't take away from enjoying the game. The way Square-Enix added so many details really gives depth to a game that was already fun. Looking forward to the next part!

I played the original FF7 the PSone, actually still have the game itself. Was very excited when I first saw the remake. Even though it is only a portion of the original game, still very much worth buying. also, got the game for $30.00 instead of the original price of $60.00.

The game itself is good enough to play. However, there is some camera issue when you try to lock on enemy. The graphic is good, the story is also good.

Having never played the original FF7, I wanted to try out the remake and I am so happy I did. It is such a beautiful game with characters that you can get attached to, due to the story. The battle system is also very fluid with the action packed story. This may be my favorite game of all time!

I never got to play the original as a kid. This is an awesome way to get me into the universe. Great gameplay and story as well. Just hate I’ll have to wait about 6 years or so before this story is concluded with the way they chopped up the story into 3+ gamrs

I did not play the original game and was worried about not being able to enjoy the game as much as other reviewers. After playing over 30 hours of the game I can confidently say that this is an amazing and addictive game that anybody can enjoy! Highly recommend for everybody who owns a ps4.

I'm giving this 4 stars because I'm enjoying the game now but only after changing the camera settings. Prior to that this game was the ONLY non VR title to ever cause me to have motion sickness. It was bad enough to where I almost returned my copy. I tried the game on 3 different displays but all equally had me feeling like I needed medical attention. Change both of your FOV settings to 3 (furthest away). This helped and now I actually quite enjoy the game (even if it really is only part 1 with the second half released at a later date).

As a fan of the FF series that was too young to play FF& when it launched, this was something I looked forward to for ages. Square didn't disappoint, it just hurts to wait for the next part.

Long story short, it's a remake. Better graphics, better combat system. It is everything they promised it would be. However the omission of random encounters nearly guarantees that everyone will have an identical experience. The remake is also painfully linear making the original more open world. Furthermore the knowledge this remake was going to be released in parts was always going to hurt this release but its more apparent once you play through it.

Being someone who's never played the original Final Fantasy VII, I have never wanted to try it because of the dated feel. With this change to the formula, moving from the turn-based RPG style to an action RPG, this game really gripped me quickly. It's definetly worth your time

Amazing game! It’s not the final product, since the game ends after the Midgar section but it’s an enhancement of the original. The added elements and character development of the side characters is worth the price! Hopefully, we don’t have to wait until 2024 or something to play part 2

I’ve gone from ff15 down to 7 and the graphics for this remake are stunning you wouldn’t be able to tell it was a game from 8 series down. If someone hadn’t told me and I was obsessed with all things things FF I would have thought this was 16 and not 7 the remake!

First off, Best Buy’s pickup service was fast, convenient, and safe but the game itself was well worth the pre-order. The massive amount of character development and storyline added to the series with this game is incredible. If you’re a Final Fantasy fan then you won’t be disappointed

Always been an avid fan of Final Fantasy VII. When I got my first PS1, I was hooked on the first day. This game brings my childhood days. I'am truly amazed on how they developed the cinematic game and bringing it to PS4. I wish I can get the PS4 Limited Edition FF7.

I loved all 40 hours of my first play through. Will definitely play through it again. I hope the rest of the story comes out sooner than later.

I really enjoyed this game and look forward to what comes next. For anyone who has played the original FF7 this game plays very differently and takes some getting used to but it is quite fun. Its also only a limited part of the story so don't go in expecting it to be the full FF7.

Solid game, and plays great on PS5, though it's unfortunate that we don't know when it will be finished.

If you played the original classic version than you will love the remake. The remake improve everything from the classic, the only downside is there no longer turn base combat. Honestly I’m loving the fluid gameplay and boss battle are challenging. It’s a must buy for FFVII fans.

Legitimate remake, the take a lot of what you love, add to and twist a few known facts about characters you remember and turn it into a much more fleshed out and wonderful experience. Downside: only part 1 and missing several key characters you meet after the main focus of this game.

Amazing playing this game again. While it in not an exact remake it is true to the original. Only disappointing part was this is only the first part of the game. It’s still well worth it for lovers of the original game. Can’t wait for the additional parts to come out.
