Not being up to date on FFVII, I was truly astonished by how great this game play was. I enjoyed every bit of the story, and I think the battle system was great for an average game like myself. I felt like I had just enough control of what was going on in the game.

10/10. Coming from playing the original over 20 years ago, this remake pretty much stays true to the story but adding a lot more depth and character development to characters that never were even touched on in the original. Just wish it wasn’t released in parts.

Absolutely incredible in every way. The soundtrack is perfect. The characters are real and interesting. The combat is fun! The scenery is eye candy. I've played through the whole game twice now; about sixty hours of playtime overall. You won't regret buying it.

This a beautiful remake of one of the most iconic games of all time. It stays faithful through a good portion of it, but there are minor changes that I have a few gripes with. It's super easy to tell which elements were from the original and which are new - there's a distinct difference how instantly recognizable the original stuff is, whereas the new content is very forgettable and seems uninspired. In addition, the sidequests are an absolute drag on the main story and detract from the pacing.

I went in to this game scared after how much I loved the original, there are some changes but I still think this game is great, it's not a Remake more like reboot, it's very different in different aspects and is best to treat the 2 as 2 separate entities/series

If you're a fan of the original or just love JRPGs this is the game for you. Rich visuals, compelling and remade story, and captivating characters. Game has a few flaws but no game is a perfect 10/10. Get this game especially if you're a fan of the '97 original

I currently over 80 hours in the game while going for a platinum and extremely enjoy it. I was skeptical before due to the percentage of the original which this covered, but it is a fully formed game and takes the story in some interesting new directions.

Live action battle system where you build up ATB to cast spells and use abilities by attacking, you hot switch between characters as you feel the need, very cool system. Not really the same as traditional FF games but familiar enough that if you don't mind real time action hack and slash games you'll feel right at home quickly. Fight spooky ghosts and save the world! Defeat capitalism, get the girl.

Gameplay wise, the game has very good controls and mechanics, the story isnt anything that special but the characters are cool

My husband has been waiting for this game to come out for a while and was very excited that it was finally released. He said the graffics are great and he is happy he can play through one of his favorite games again. It arrived on the release date as promised.

A nice return to FF7. Game has more of a linear feel, but the story turns out to be compelling and made me want to keep going back for more. Can't wait to see where the next game goes and what new changes it will bring to the original story.

This game is seriously the best I could have hoped for. It is less a remake and more of a beautiful reinvention. The new fighting mechanics are enjoyable. The story is familiar but surprisingly fresh. I could not be more happy to adventure with Cloud and crew

Price was good. Packaged well for shipping. Shipping was excellent. Best Buy got it out in plenty of time for me to receive it by the expected delivery date. The game itself is AWESOME. If you are a Final Fantasy fan, this one is a MUST HAVE.

The is amazing and captures the Midgar section quite well and expands on characters that only had a minor roll in the OG version. Though not perfect fans should like what they've done with this game and will probably be split on what they did towards the end.

I LOVE this game. The graphics are amazing and the characters are interesting, honestly, it's one of the best games I have right now. Even if you're new to the FF franchise, this game is pretty easy to follow. I wish they would remake more games like this!

I preordered this and it came the day of release. In my opinion the game was good and fun. If you want a direct copy of the original you might just want to decide against this game. That being said it is very enjoyable and you will love the graphics.

The graphics look amazing, The fighting has changed a bit, more boss are in this version. Charters have more of a back story

After 15 years of waiting they delivered. Just 2 words "Honeybee Inn" No regrets.... DO NOT spoil yourself by watching the play through, you really need to experience this game first hand. Please buy and support so we can quickly get the next installment.

The long anticipated and hyped FF7: Remake and finally here and it’s excellent. Game controls very well, looks visually stunning, has memorable characters and is a lot of fun to play. If you like action/adventure RPG’s, you should definitely enjoy this.

Thank you, so much. I wanted to play this on the PS5 so bad but I lost my game disk. No one locally had ANY copies at all, except for Best Buy with a single copy at an amazing price. Made me so happy!! I love Final Fantasy VII so much!
