Great game. If you loved the original you will love this game. Even though its a remake it feels like its own game at the same time. Only con is gonna be another 5 yeara before part 2 lol

Being a fan of the original I wasn't expecting much but goes above and beyond to honor the original. I was disappointed that I have to wait for part 2 to finish the story but this first part is more than worth your time to play. Truly a beautiful game.

Took forever to get my pre- order bonus.. This game is a lot of fun.. it isn’t a full remake of Final Fantasy VII, don’t expect that at all. Hopefully Square Enix Is going to continue these remakes in order to tell the FULL story of Final Fantasy VII.

love it and cannot wait for part 2!!! This one was a great update without changing too much yet keeping it modern and fun! IF this is just the first 1/3, it took as long as the entirety of the original to beat, for me, so here's to looking at part 2!

Fans nostalgic for Final Fantasy 7 will love this game. New fans of the series will love this game. This has been a good distraction for me as the story is more in depth than the 1997 classic, and the gameplay is new. Highly recommend for any PS4 owner.

A new spin on a classic. It is a 2 disc set first disc is the data disc and the second is the playable disc. The game brings a new spin on old classic. Updated graphics and sound along with an active time battle system. Makes for a great Combination.

Absolutely loving the remake for this game...I was worried about paying this much for a partial remake of this game (it's just part one of three), but there's so much additional content that's it's completely worth it. Very good game in its own right.

Great remake. Brought back childhood memories of playing the original, but with updated visuals and a really fun combat system. But Best Buy needs to invest in bubble mailers. I received the game in the mail only to find the case cracked and chipped.

I’ve been a final fantasy fan for more than 14 years now. I’ve played all that I’ve gotten my hands on. Pros the gameplay and graphics are excellent I really like the gameplay it’s engaging and it doesn’t feel repetitive like pokemon. You can change up your style. Cons without spoiling anything. I will say I expected more and many details in the game should have been updated or taken care of. If you are a fan of the original this is an okay buy maybe not at 60 bucks more like 40.

The First 25% of the original never looked better! is not a replacement but a reimagine of the original in a closer look to the events in a beautiful HD look to the cyberpunk world of Midgar with very familiar group that you loved from the original.

Great remake of the original. I’m about halfway through the game and enjoying every minute of it. If you didn’t play this on PS4, and you have a PS5 I highly recommend you check it out. Looks great and plays well on the new system.

I really only have three complaints about this game. 1. The game is heavily padded to make the game last longer then it needs to be. Its 30+ hours when it should be around more about >20 hours. 2. Very boring side quests. Small complaint because the main story is great but nonetheless their not that good. 3. Low texture throughout game most of the time not a big deal but can be a little distracting at times . Overall a very good game and nice addition to franchise. Solid 8/10.

Addictive gameplay, amazing retelling of a phenomenal story and still the best final fantasy of all time. Even if you aren’t into the genre, but have interest, pick it up and try it, it’s worth every penny. Potential game of the year hands down.

The music and battles are where this remake really shines. Not a fan of the new story elements.

I bought this game for my husband. He is a hardcore FF fan. Hes been waiting for this game for a long while. He loved it!! He honestly has had a hard time playing any other games since just because of how much he really enjoyed playing this one.

The adventures of mako-powered Sora in cutscene form does stuff to me that I have not formed a coherent opinion on, but I would have to sum up as being a ‘good’ experience overall thus far.

This remake is an excellent update of the classic RPG that feels faithful while expanding on an already memorable beginning. This is not the full story of Final Fantasy 7, but it is an excellent start that makes me eager to play the follow-ups.

The battle mechanics, the smooth gameplay, and the story I remember from the first Final Fantasy VII. It takes place in only Midgard, and is the first of two or three FFVII remake games to tell the entire story in incredible detail.

This game definitely has the "old school" FF feels. I put old school in quotations because it technically is an old school game with new elements. This is through the perspective of a new FF7 player, it is everything I could ask for in a game.
