Never played any of these games or the original, I have played Kingdom Hearts which shares a universe with these characters. But all 50 plus hours with FF7R I spent was amazing. Characters, combat, weapons, gameplay ect is all perfect. Buy it now. Tifa is the best

I played thw original final fantasy 7 and this game is well worth the wait. Awosome graphics, gameplay and story. The game goes into more detail about the events of final fantasy. A must buy for any final fantasy fan

Play the original first. There is no point of playing this one unless you see how they are playing with your expectations of the first. Once you have, the game is a masterclass of using nostalgia and character cues to tell a story.

I have been a FFVII fan for over 20 years. This is the game that I imagined as a first time player back in 1997! There is so much love, detail and awe put into this game. With the graphics, random dialogues as you walk and the ability to see characters more in-depth, this game is a MUST for any FFVII fan!! The entire game is as well done as the trailer graphics. Going back to chapters after the first play-though, choices that impact gameplay (Cloud's dress, for example), mini-games, trophies, difficulty increases and a fully voice acted game increase the replayability of this game. I have clocked nearly 45 hours so far and I have not finished the first play-though of this installment. Granted, I am doing the side quests, mini-games and sometimes just sitting in awe of the game. (Play the demo, you'll see what I'm talking about.) This first installment answered my dreams for this game and then some!

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is very important to alot of people. Many would say the original FF7 is one of the greatest games of all time. I did not grow up with the original FF7 but with its PSP prequel: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7. So for me, the Remake is, in a way, Crisis Core 2. With that being said, I think this game does nearly everything right except for the fact its not the full game. I recently played the original FF7 and realised how much filler this Remake has. I know its a "Remake" and its not an exact copy of the original but this game has some really bad moments and pacing. One chapter, you'll be hanging out with the group, fighting enemies on a bike, having some pizza, going one on one with a crazy cool swordsman or dancing and crossdressing at a drag club. Awesome. Next chapter, your wasting 5 hours running through a sewer and an empty trainyard. I'm more of a quality over quantity type. I'd rather have a solid 30 hour game than a boring 65 hour game. The gameplay is very good. Mix of action and turn based. Although, dodge rarely works and cutscenes will sometimes trigger mid attack....Resetting any stagger damage you built over time or just cancelling your limit break mid attack and not letting you redo it. The music is incredible and voice acting / portrayals are very good (except for this version of Sephiroth. Who is just a generic villain in this, sadly.) Overall, I highly recommend you check this out even if you have never played Final Fantasy.

An excellent version of FF7 that captures nostalgia and plays really well. The world backdrops are beautiful and the npc background dialogue adds to the world as they change their speech depending on what events are taking place. Looks amazing, supports 4k HDR.

Final Fantasy 7 has always been one of the greats in the series and this Remake takes it to new heights. The combat system is amazing, the character story is expanded, and get over 50 hours of gameplay. I highly recommend this game to any gamer out there

I found the story to be an amazing delight. It incorporates elements from all FF7 paraphernalia (Crisis Core, the Movie, etc.) It should go without saying that there are numerous differences from the original, but I felt they did a novel job with Remake.

It is everything the original was, and more. Very pleased by the graphics, and the story and the additional elements. Can't wait to see what they have in store for the next installments. Every time I play I smile as something old yet new comes on screen.

Really fun to play. Fluid gameplay and good story as well. The remake definitely did the original justice and even more. I sunk in 50 hours and just barely finished the game so the game could go for probably 100 hours of enjoyment.

I remember playing the original version on PS, so I was super excited when I found out about the remake, and it did not disappoint!!!. Very from the gameplay, amazing graphics, story, music, etc.. you cannot go wrong with buying this game.

This game really delivers on recreating an iconic masterpiece and takes you even further in depth. I can't believe a PS4 Slim is capable of such amazing graphics. The storyline, character development and gameplay are phenomenal, much better than FF15.

Square Enix took one of my favorite Final Fantasy stories and made the first part of it even better! I'm hoping they pull off their attempt to turn this into a trilogy, and I'm glad they have the story already outlined from the original because they don't do sequels all that well. Lots of action, a compelling story, and boy oh boy is it pretty! I'm really looking forward to getting a PS5 so I can take advantage of the free upgrade.

The graphics are amazing! Immediately fell in love with it when it first showed the introduction and introduce some of the characters. Good story line also! I wish they made a Remake of Crises Core. Would’ve been fantastic too.

Ff7 was the first rpg I ever played and I knew I was hooked. This remake does the original justice and also revamps the gameplay in a good way. It's not easy to pull that off. It's very anime esque so if your not into that probably won't like it.

I have been playing Final Fantasy VII when I was a kid and loved it. This remake edition is awesome and different gameplay experience, especially with the battles. The story and dialogues are immersive and enjoyable. Worth every penny I brought it!

Great for old school players like myself that grew up with the original FF7 and new comers alike. Gameplay, Story, Characters, Visuals, and everything in between is just amazing to look at.

Best game SquareEnix has produced in ages and it’s a remake. Highly recommend with a lot of game for the money of you plan to platinum trophy the game.

Game is very enjoyable. If you've played the original, you're in for a real treat. Graphics are amazing and the story plot goes into much more depth than the original. Character development and gameplay was done fantastically. 10/10

Cant wait for part 2. This game did so much with such a small part of the original story. I was incredibly suprised. Not your typical remake, it is its own game, own story. Definately one of the only highlights of year 2020
