The story makes much less sense than Fire Emblem Awakening. Apparently the story connects to three other FE games, maybe you have to play all three for a cohesive story? Combat still entertaining, seems more complex than in prior entries.

Honestly if you're a FE fan, might as well wait as the story is full of plot holes. If you just want to ship a bunch of characters uh... have fun. It's wild.

It was a gift for someone else, I didn't play it, but I'll take the points. Hope they don't post this. Let's see if they review these before posting.

This game is my first entry into the series. The characters and story is well done, as well as the combat. Highly recommended.

I'm a pretty big fan of the Fire Emblem series and have played quite a few titles within the series but at the same time, it has been a while since I picked up a Fire Emblem game; Radiant Dawn being the last. This game was quite a surprise with the added elements such as cooperators which made planning my next move more intricate. As a Fire Emblem veteran, I decided to play Classic Mode on Hard (not Lunatic) and still find each chapter tough to plan around. The game has a healthy bit of challenge but at the same time, I wish it were perhaps a bit simpler. A lot of the newer mechanics go over my head and I usually just wish for 1v1 combat instead of supporters. Not a bad game but in my opinion, not quite as good as some of the older ones.

If you're a Fire Emblem fan then this is a must have. the game is similar to the past strategy type but this new versions brings better gameplay, strategy and take full advantage of the New Nintendo 3DS features with better graphics and performance. I already own one of the versions and planning to get the other one to get both versions of the story plus the DLC.

If you like Final Fantasy Tactics, then the Fire Emblem series is for you. This game is easily the best one of the series thus far. I look forward to completing Birthright, Conquest and Revelation (In that order) to understand the full story. I highly recommend this game.

BEST IN THE SERIES. If you have a strategy kick, and it needs to be itched, look no further than your 3ds. Fire Emblem is like chess with stats, and it is not to be missed.

If you've played a Fire Emblem game... you have an idea what to expect. If you haven't and enjoy strategy rpg's, this is a game you should be picking up. This is by far the best entry in the series and gorgeous. With two separate main games having different stories and characters... a third in DLC that you can get further on in... this is the largest one by far! I can't recommend this game enough.

I got the Birthright physical copy of the game and then added this one as a DLC. It was a good buy as pre-orders goes, saving over $15 for both games. The game is good with good graphics and has a mode for introduction to those who have yet to play the series. Do note you have to reach a certain point in the game to add any DLC, it is not done through the Nintendo E-SHOP.

I couldn't decide which version to choose of this game, but in the end I went with conquest. The story is great and the price was right when I picked it up. So far I'm really enjoying it.

    Great Turn-Based strategy game

Since the days of Advance Wars I have had a pretty high standard for turn-based strategy games and I can honestly say that this game meets the bar. Aside from nice gameplay, character customization, castle-building and the many varied options you have to make you way through the game make this one worth your time.
