Perfect for your Kids Safety - No regrets
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Fitbit Ace LTE is an excellent device for monitoring kids' activities. In my opinion, it stands out as one of the best safety products available to track kids effectively. Here are my detailed thoughts on its features and performance. Packaging and Setup The product arrived in a neatly packed package, making it very easy to unpack and set up. The minimum requirements to get started are a Google Account and a smartphone (iOS or Android). Installation Process: Download the Fitbit Ace app. Create a Gmail account for your child and add it under your main Gmail family account. Log in to the Fitbit Ace app with your child's Gmail account, and subscribe to the service (subscription is necessary for phone calls, messages, and location tracking). The subscription fees are reasonable, and there are promotional offers available. After logging in, you can add the Fitbit device via Bluetooth. Following these steps, the watch setup is self-explanatory. The watch guides you through the setup, and understanding the swipe actions is straightforward. The device boasts a multitude of useful features, including controlled contact lists via the app on the parent's phone. On the Fitbit Ace app, you can maintain contacts, check location tracking, and manage calls and messages. While Google Wallet is currently disabled, it is expected to be available soon. Key Features: Kids can play games, perform activities, make calls to pre-approved contacts, and send text and voice messages along with various images. The watch includes full clock capabilities like a stopwatch, alarm setup, countdown timer, etc. Adjustable brightness, different battery modes, and notifications. Location tracking, phone calls, and messaging work flawlessly. Areas for Improvement: The only drawback I found is the lack of a contact and clock option directly in the app list. Instead, these features are accessed via a physical side button. Initially, I was clicking slightly below the home button, which led me to the home screen. Using the screen protector makes it a bit challenging to press the top button to open the contacts and clock app. There are three physical buttons on the right side of the watch: one at the top for contacts, the home button, and one for arcade games. Although you cannot open the contacts app from the phone apps list, it can be accessed with a top-side click, but clearer instructions would be beneficial. Overall Impression: I am thoroughly impressed with the Fitbit Ace LTE. It is a highly recommended watch for your kids, ensuring their safety and activity tracking with ease and efficiency.

Great kids LTE fitness tracker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fitbit Ace LTE finally gives you an alternative to the apple watch for your kids. Fitbit products still give you the great activity tracking that they have been known for but now we have the added convenience of communicating with our kids. Setup of the device was very simple Once you unpacked the Ace the strap and the charger you simply just turn on the Ace by pressing the side button, Once this has been done you must download and install the fitbit Ace app on your phone and follow the on screen directions. One issue I did run into was that the update was taking forever because the battery life was too low to complete. Once I figured this out and charged the Ace setup and LTE activation happened without any issues. Everything on the ACE is managed via the app. Even though the watch is LTE connected it does not have it's own phone number, which in my opinion is great because you have complete control on who can communicate with your child. The app allows you to designate up to 20 people that can call or text with your child via the app. Battery life Is rated to last at least 16 hrs and I can sat that my son easily gets that on his device. The charger magnetically attaches to the watch and has been very easy for my son to do on his own. The ACE also has games on it that are used to help motivate your child to move, There are also interchangeable bands that unlock new features on the ACE. There is also a school time mode that allows you to limit game play during school so that your child can focus at school while retaining the ability to communicate with you, The fitbit ACE allows you to have the capabilities of a smartphone on their wrist without actually having a smartphone. The Fitbit ACE also allows you to ensure all communications are secure with the trusted people that you have chosen, My child loves that he has the ability to get in touch with us at anytime and I love that I can locate him via my app and call or text him if needed.

First Gen Love and Hate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The concept and package of this kids watch is wonderfully executed. The design and games focussed on activities make a kiddo want to have fun with it. They can txt and call family and parents can check their location.....when it works.... A couple things I hope they'll fix: 1. If the battery dies, you can't see any location info. There's no history of where the device last was. So if you're thinking of piece of mind, be aware of this. 2. The watch gets real warm when playing games. My kid takes it off frequently because they say it's getting too hot. If yours has any sensory issues, consider this. 3. The software stalls frequently. Children can be patient but some od the stalls would be unacceptable to adults. We've had to force restart the watch a few times in the couple weeks we've had it. 4. Calling is hit or miss. Sometimes calls never xonnect or there's one way audio. Like i said, it's a wonderful start to being a great kids device. It just needs improvement.

Best/safest phone alternative plus fitness tracker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have a preteen that isn't ready for a phone yet but you want them to be able to contact you in an emergency safely, you can't find something better than this. We've used similar items before and stopped using them after a few months because it just wasn't what we were looking for. We have an active 8 year old who loves being able to track his steps and movement while turning his achievements into games and fun characters. He was immediately drawn to the fun animals that show your progress ring and can be found randomly doing jumping jacks or asking to run laps to complete his goals. My favorite part as a parent is how locked down the settings and call/messaging access is so I know my child is safe from random people. The only people you can contact from the watch are people who have been added specifically by the parent that set up the watch. There isn't an actual phone number to worry about as everything is handled securely through the app. My child loves being able to send a quick text to check in when they are with family and we love the peace of mind knowing we can contact them safely as well. I can't say enough good things about this fitbit. And now we've been looking at the other watch bands with additional characters to unlock, this is a great addition to have them work towards earning new items to customize the watch.

Fitbit Ace Kids – Mishandled Subscription & Reques
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This message is to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the handling of my son’s Fitbit Ace Kids subscription and the response I received from customer service. I purchased a 1-year prepaid subscription for $129.99, which has only been minimally used—barely a month. Due to an error in my son’s Gmail account birth year, his email was flagged and terminated as per Google’s age policy. Unbeknownst to me, this account was directly tied to his Fitbit Ace Kids subscription. Once the Gmail account was deactivated, the Fitbit subscription was also lost. Upon contacting customer service to update his email and reactivate the subscription, I was told accounts are non-transferable, and no refund would be issued—despite the fact that the service was largely unused and the cancellation was clearly unintentional and caused by a policy-based Gmail deletion. I escalated the issue to a “supervisor” named Jonathan, whose customer service was, frankly, disinterested and unhelpful. At no point was I offered a solution, a credit, or even the opportunity to reinstate the service under a new Gmail account. The call left me stunned—not just by the rigid policy, but by the complete lack of customer care. At present, I’m left with: A $129.99 lost subscription A $318.18 investment in a Fitbit Ace Kids device that now serves no purpose And the option presented to me is: pay again or walk away. This experience reflects a broader issue in Fitbit’s customer experience strategy—rigid policies overriding reasonable solutions, and an apparent disregard for customer loyalty or long-term brand reputation. It’s disappointing, especially considering Google’s partnership with Fitbit. I now face a choice: invest another $129.99 into a system that has already failed me—or walk away and invest in an alternative like the Apple Watch, which offers both premium service and customer-first support. I urge Fitbit to reconsider this position—not just for my situation, but to protect your brand from what can rapidly become a growing trend of negative customer sentiment. A resolution or refund here would not just solve one issue, it would restore credibility in your system.
