I am happy with my Fitbit Alta. The set-up instructions were easy to follow. It does just what I want it to do. I want to keep track of my steps. I like the Fitbit app. It gives me a weekly report of my progress. I also like the reminders to move[the tracker vibrates occasionally].

I have tried almost all Fitbit trackers. I got this one because the Charge strap came unglued and is not replaceable. The Alta is better in a lot of ways but has some problems. First the band is replaceable which is good because the black band it comes with is impossible to put on with one hand. The holes in the band are too small. They removed the "stair climb counter" which is ok since it was rarely correct. They also got rid of the sleep tracker and replaced it with an auto sleep tracker which has never been correct since I got it. You can't edit the data or start it manually. It has never recorded more than 4 hours of sleep even when left on the night stand all night. The Charge was very good at sleep tracking so this is a shame. As for counting steps, it seems to work as well as the older models and battery life is good.

Bought this as a gift for my wife. She enjoys how sleek and slim it is. She can get her texts and incoming calls right on her wrist

    Makes Fitness Tracking Easy

So...tracks how many steps I take (and reminds me to get up and move hourly); tracks my calorie and liquid consumption (with help: I actually have to input my intake); tracks how long I sleep, and to a degree monitors my sleep quality; knows when I'm "active," and keeps track of how many minutes I'm active. Not bad! IF you're motivated to start moving in the direction of fitness, the Alta is a useful tool; simple to use, and fairly unobtrusive. It requires a little effort -- like said, entering your liquid and caloric consumption, but really: if you're not willing to do that, you probably aren't going to be willing to get active in the first place. Only complaint I have is that sometimes it forgets to sync -- I assume a connectivity issue. Minor problem, though, and I would TOTALLY get one again.

Bought the Alta as an upgrade for my Flex. Love the notification alerts it signals to let me know a text or call is being made. The band is adjustable to fit any wrist size. The best thing about this band is it includes a clock. I can do without a heart monitor since it's not always accurate.

I have owned several Fitbit devices and this is by far my favorite one. It looks great on the wrist and there are lots of other bands that can be purchased. My favorite feature is that my texts show up on my display - very handy!

I wasn't a big fan of the original fitbit, but I like the Alta. I switched over from an up24 and love that it is actually water resistant. My favorite part is the automatic sleep tracking. I do wish the clasp was a little easier to connect, but I got the hang of it. This is a great device.

I am so glad I got the Fitbit Alta. Its connected to my phone so even if I am away from cell I still get to see the message. You can turn off notifications at night so you are not disturbed while you are sleeping! I recommemdnthis product for those who want to stay active!

Got this for my wife...she loves it....it's smaller and not as bulky on her wrist...compared to the fitbit we currently wears. She also lives the fact that you can get interchangeable bands for different colors. Only knock is it dosent record heart rate...she misses that feature.

My daughter wanted a tracker that showed actual steps and not simply dots. She loves this tracker due to its color, slim size and adjustable fit. The tracking with the smart phone and display when you reach your goal has kept her more active and engaged in her daily routine.

I bought this to replace my Fitbit flex. It was slightly more but well worth it. I love the battery life. A week between chatges. Love the display. I'm a watch wearer but need not one anymore with this. Love the text receive capability. Also the whose calling receive capability.

Great features and mobile app. Easy set up as long as you have basic Internet and smart phone skills. My only complaint is the difficulty to close the clasp. It's takes a while to break it in. It has made a difference at my office job and limits the periods of time sitting.

Now, I haven't had much to compare this product with. It works as intended. Never had any issues with it. Was a perfect fit for me, and what I need it for. Syncs with my Humana vitality app. The reason I have it 4 stars and not 5 is because it doesn't have a heart rate monitor.

I really like the Alta. I had a Flex first and while it was good, I appreciate the extra features on the Alta. Being able to use it as a watch is a big plus. I also like the feature that allows me to see text messages. All in all I think it's a great product for the price.
