Fun and Useful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my daughter and she wears it all the time. She loves to get the notifications and compete with others in their total steps. It keeps her active and reminds her when to get moving again. She wears it playing soccer and running and has no issues from wear and tear. The battery lasts about 6 or 7 days which is amazing because I have the charge HR which will last about 4 days if I turn off the Bluetooth on my phone. I like her having the Alta because it helps us monitor her sleep patterns and how well she sleeps. Fun and useful.

Helps my daughter be more active
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have bought a lot of Fitbits. My 9-year-old daughter's needed to be replaced, so we got her this one. It works great. She is able to set her step goal and watch herself achieve it over the course of the day. When she is a little short of it, she takes an extra walk, so it is helping her move more. The only thing we don't like about it is the lack of a buckle on the wristband. Snapping it closed is a little tricky, and it is not as secure. Also, the band did start discoloring a little on the edges shortly after we got it. Be aware this model does not have a heart rate monitor, which was fine for our daughter. I myself have the Alta HR, which has the heart rate monitor and a buckle on the wristband.

Good Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've warn my Alta for over a year now. It has has recorded over 5,000,000 steps in that time. I like that it is water resistant as I have occasionally jumped in my pool with it on. My only dislike is the screen material now has several scuffs and scratches as a result of wearing my bit while doing yardwork and moving furniture (which is my profession). However, I like the screen because it display time/date and more information that other models.

Lots of great features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the look of this Fitbit and have had lots of comments that it looks more like a stylish bracelet. I love that I can wear it like a watch to keep up with the time, month, day of week. It has lots of other great features besides just tracking your steps and activity. It also shows up on your Fitbit who is calling or texting you. It keeps a great charge. And I love doing the challenges with all my Fitbit friends!!

Luv the Alta
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had previously owned the Fitbit Charge, The main reason I was interested in the Alta is the size of the band. Until you get use to it, charging the battery is more difficult than charging the Charge, but lasts about 5 to 7 days. Only wish the metal band was available in size large. Buy... You will luv the Alta.

Some sync issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ALta works pretty well, but since day 1 I still have some sync issues as I have my phone synched with multilep BT devices, so it's hard to get it to synch with my phone when I want it to. At times it's take over 4-6 hrs for it to actually start a sync. BUt the Alta does work well and I love the fact that I can change the bands on it as I was able to find one with a watch style clousre.

Q: QuestionHow often does this need to be charged
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I find that based on what I am tracking with Mike, mostly steps and weight that I can go 5 to 7 days on a charge. I also figured out that since I have to take it off to shower I can plug it in and let it change while I get ready for work. That way it always stays charged and I don't have to worry about it.

Q: QuestionWhat is your return policy on Fitbit?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer They are very good. If something happens to it, they will just send you a new one. Don't wear it in the water. It's water resistant not water proof.

Q: QuestionMy device requires charging every 2-3 days. What happens when this weak battery dies? Can it be replaced or do I need to replace The entire Fitbit? Is there a procedure for swapping out the old battery?
Asked by Franco.
- A:Answer It seem that your fitbit has a defective battery. I would do is contact fitbit customer service and tell your problem. They might send you a new one since it still under the warranty. good luck with it man.

Q: QuestionCan I wear the new fitbit swimming??
Asked by Tess.
- A:Answer No... will it break if you swim with it on? Maybe. But it's possibly that it can last a quick dip. But officially Fitbit says this device is only splash proof with 1 meter of depth allowed only. So I wouldn't try swimming with it. Showering is not recommended but it was fine when I had my Charge HR so I'm betting it should be OK with this too but again, Fitbit says no to showering with this on either.
