Customers regard the Alta Activity Tracker (Large) favorably for its sleep tracking, ease of use, and comfortable size. Many appreciate the long battery life and stylish design, along with features like step tracking and notifications. However, some users wish for a heart rate monitor and improved water resistance. A few also noted challenges with the clasp mechanism.

Love that the bands are so narrow and that they can be switched out if desired. I was not looking for a Fitbit with the heart rate and I love the fact that this one can give me gentle reminder to move every hour. The fact that I can also have text message and phone call notifications on the Fitbit was an added bonus.

I purchased the flex a few months ago to see if I would like and use a fitness tracker. I upgraded to the Alta LOVE IT. Simple to use and the charger is much better than with the flex. The band fastens securely and I've had no problems with it coming lose as with the other bands. The color is great. Nearly Tiffany Teal :)

Won points for this one. She has told me that she likes how it feels while wearing it. She didn't like how some of the other fitbit devices felt too wide. Other than not having a heart rate monitor, she loves everything about it. The only complaint is that it takes a little too long to realize that she is doing exercise.

I recently upgraded from a Fitbit charge to the Fitbit Alta and I love it! The tracker itself isn't as bulky and the screen is wider horizontally. the only con to the Alta is the fact that it doesn't have a button on the side to view your progress, instead there is a "tap feature" which doesn't always work the best.

I had the charge before this. It was lovely but battery performance wasn't up to my needs. The Alta battery is awesome. Typically 5/6 days on each charge with auto synch off. I found auto synch unnecessary. And best of all I can get away with it not looking like I'm wearing a watch so I can wear my analog watches.

Bought as a gift for a friend. He wears it on his ankle to get steps correct. Funny as I have one and wear it in a magnet container attached to me and he gets more steps when we walk the same places. I mostly got mine for the phone calls and notifications because I cannot hear my phone ringing while at work.

I was looking for a fairly basic Fitbit and this fits the bill. My only issue is that the battery wears down pretty quickly. Not sure if it's my settings on my phone or something else. But I do love that I can get calendar, text and phone notifications on my Fitbit. And the steps tracking is pretty sweet, too.

I had a Jawbone UP before I bought this fitbit. While I prefer the Jawbone band options, I think most of the offerings are the same or similar enough that it was an easy transition. I do like some of the features on the fitbit that I did not know were part of the tracker until after I had been wearing it for a day or so, like the notifications for text messages and phone calls. While I do not need to be connected to my phone 24/7 like many, I have found that the text notifications have been a nice feature as I can glance at my wrist to see if it is important enough to read the whole thing now or wait until later. Also, I work from home and I can be sedentary for longer than I realise. I love the reminder to get up and at least get in 250 step before the end of the hour. It is a bit clunkier than the Jawbone and not as low profile, which is a small drawback for me. However, I am satisfied over all with this purchase and I would recommend it to someone who wants an activity tracker without all the whistles and bells that won't break the bank.

This was a Mother's Day gift for my wife and she couldn't be happier. The design and style were finally to her like after trying numerous other wearables. The only things I wish it included are the Heart Rate monitoring, and sometimes it doesn't respond to the tap for display changes. Otherwise a top notch product.

Perfect for my needs, don't need heart tracker feature. Like the hourly reminder, use it to stretch or step away from the computer. Had difficulty with the band provided, didn't always close. Ended up purchases a rose gold watch band. Receive compliments, especially that it does not look like a tracker.

I'm glad I purchased the fit bit Alta. Knowing my step count has encouraged me to strive to reach higher goals. It also has shown me how low quality sleep I was actually getting. I like the smaller size and sleek look. The only downside is the way the band fastens. It is extremely difficult for my hands.

I really like this activity tracker. It is quite a bit more accurate than my old Jawbone UP. The one feature I wish it had on the wrist display would be a battery meter. You have to use the bluetooth connection to detect battery charge. And then it is a rough estimate. Other than that I really like it.
