Customers regard the Alta Activity Tracker (Large) favorably for its sleep tracking, ease of use, and comfortable size. Many appreciate the long battery life and stylish design, along with features like step tracking and notifications. However, some users wish for a heart rate monitor and improved water resistance. My wife loves this Fitbit. It does a great job of tracking her daily steps. When you register your Fitbit you set up a free account which tracks your overall steps, mileage, etc and awards you "badges" when you hit certain mileage goals. This is a nice, little incentive which encourages you to walk more. My wife found the clasp on the wrist band hard to close but we replaced it with an after market watch band with a normal clasp. Replacement watch bands are easy to find, are available in various colors, are inexpensive and easy to replace on the Fitbit.

Purchased this to replace my last tracker and so far this one is way better. I tried the Garmin Vivofit 2, but was not impressed with the Auto IQ feature that is supposed to track activity automatically. Never worked for me, so got this one instead and it works perfectly. Bike rides, walks, runs are all tracker without any issue. Also does a great job tracking my sleep each night and the battery life has been very good. I get a solid 5+ days between charges and that is with notifications setup from my iPhone and constantly using it to check the time during the day. Highly recommended!!

Great Fit but to track steps and miles. Also reminds you to get up and move. The best features is alerting me of calls and texts that are incoming when I have my Bluetooth switched on. Ladies, I would definitely recommend getting the small size strap, as when I put my wrist on the measuring chart on the box it indicated I could be a large and when I bought it, it was way too big and so the strap would easily get caught on things and snap open and fall off my wrist or get caught in the sleeve of my clothing. I never had this trouble again when I exchanged it for the smaller one.

I have a FitBit so I can participate in step challenges with my friends. I didn't feel the HR one was necessary for my needs as all I wanted was to walk more. My favorite function is the hour goal that can be set up to buzz when you haven't walked a set number of steps for every hour. I have the display set sideways so I can see all the digits in the step number. I had a smaller fitbit, which I lost, and I much prefer the number display vs. dots for every 2 thousand.

Love it, easy to charge and it’s not super bulky, and it goes with just about any outfit. Definitely helps me stay active and lose weight with the Fitbit app and the food tracker! I’ve lost 60lbs in the last year that I’ve had this!!!

I did not have a fitbit before this and was really debating what one to get but this one and all the features won me over. I feel like I compete with myself every day to make sure I get in the needed steps but I also love challenging friends to see where each of us could grow. I work out in the mornings on cardio machines so make sure you are moving your arms to get the steps to count. I also really enjoy that it tracks my sleep. Really recommend this!

The fitbit alta is perfect for me to track my steps each day. I love that it keeps the minutes for my active walking I do after work. I also like that the app is so easy to use and tracks everything I need to know. Very affordable!

My wife purchased this as an upgrade from the fitbit HR. It doesn't take your heartbeat but was more accurate with the step count and sleep log. Some issues she has us that the sensors cause her to break out on the wrist if she is wearing it too long while sweating. Other reviews said this was an issue but of course we didnt think it would happen to her. Battery life is pretty great. Charge it only once every 3 to 4 days based in activity. Usually charges while in the shower for a quick recharge and gets about 25% increase in the 20 minutes this happens.

Love the compact design and definitely helps me stay active and mobile. Only small complaint is the original band it comes with begins to ware fairly quickly, recommended for sure, but invest in getting a new band asap!

This tracker is large enough to do all that I need it to do, but small enough to be unobtrusive. Large bands on my wrist drive me crazy (which is why I don't wear cuff bracelets or large watches), so the narrowness of this tracker is perfect I love the interchangeable bands; I can use a polymer one for workouts or the stainless steel for work. It's also durable. I've banged it on weight equipment, and the tracker still looks new. Add in text message previews and caller ID on my wrist, and I am a very happy customer.

    Great Improvement over Garmin Vivofit

I recently upgraded from my Garmin Vivofit to this Alta. Wow, what an improvement! The steps and activites tracking is more accurate and I like how much sleeker it is in appearance. Very comfortable to wear, sometimes I find I forget that I'm wearing it. I love the bluetooth syncing capability with my phone so it will buzz whenever I receive a text message or phone call, which is optional. The only downside is that it is difficult to tell when the battery is running low, so I charge it every few days just in case.

This Fitbit is not one of the fancier models but it is definitely perfectly adequate for exercise and fitness. I’ve used it over two years and it’s great for keeping me in motion. It doubles as a nice watch and I am able to keep track of my daily steps. I like the reminders to keep moving That it gives you each hour. As a bonus it notifies you when your telephone is ringing. As a simple fitness tracker this is ideal.

The Alta is a great Fitbit product. It is slim but has the all of the necessary features of a good health tracker with the addition of a sleep tracker. Paired with the Fitbit app, it provides all of the data you need to analyze your health activity. Additionally, it connects to your phone to allow you to see texts and incoming calls without having to take out your phone, it is easy to use and allows the owner to choose the appropriate band because the band is easily changed.
