Love this tracker. Great improvement over the flex

The Alta is ok. I asked an employee a number of questions about the different Fitbits available and was told that Alta was the same as the Charge HR meaning that it read heart rate. Sadly he was wrong and I'm disappointed. Honestly I've considered returning it.

I replaced my Jaw Bone with Fitbit Alta. The app took awhile to get use to and the band attachment is a little difficult at first. Also I find that this fitnness bracelet seems to require more frequent charging than the pervious Jaw Bone that I had. Overall this fitness bracelet is doing everything I expected it to.

I love purple so I enjoy the color options. I like the full screen so I can get an easy to read summary of my day. The app is great and easy to use. The only problem I had was it was really difficult to get the band to close for almost a week. I had to use pliers to help me in the beginning. Now it's real easy.

Small, accurate, replaces watch. highly recommend.

The Fitbit Alta works great but every little movement of your arm or wrist will result in steps being accumulated. So if your in a competition you will definitely benefit but if you are trying to get an accurate count on step your results my be a little misleading. Overall very good fitness tracker and very dependable.

The fit bit Alta has a nice feel to it. Not too bulky. The touch/tap screen takes some getting use to, it's not like the typical phone touchscreen. The app sync is we're all the miscellaneous dat is tracked and stored. I would recommend for anyone looking for an activity tracker that doesn't need hear rate monitoring.

This Alta purchase was for my father, who is 80 years old. He had the Charge HR (he often logs over 15,000 steps per day working on his 5 acre property) but the band deteriorated. He is very happy to have a Fitbit that can change bands. My 14 year old daughter, husband, and I all own Altas and love them.

I am having so much fun with this. I do the challenges with friends and have pushed my daily goal to 10,000 steps. I wouldn't put in the extra effort without this little daily reminder. The band stays put (I know others have had issues, but I haven't). I also like the sleep tracker and the app is great too. Very happy.

After my Flex stopped working, I opted for this upgraded FitBit and have not been disappointed. I love that you can just turn your wrist up and the time pops up. I love the feel of the band. The Flex band used to irritate my wrist, but I haven't had any problems with the Alt band. I am very happy with my purchase!

This is an entry level tracker! Not for triathletes or cyclists! Good pairing with iPhone and android, but requires lots more screen time than expected. Fitbit is ubiquitous, but unnecessarily expensive. Still, tracks (sort of) basic exercises. Good for those who want to buy their way into fitness.

The Alta is an excellent activity tracker. It is lightweight and fairly unobtrusive when worn and has a lot of features. Besides the watch options, tracking steps and calculating calories burned it's caller ID and text messaging reading features are very handy. I would recommend this product without hesitation.

Good: Sleek design, replaceable band, very nice fitbit interface. Bad: Not accurate in step recording! Owner of many prior trackers, and getting tired of broken bands, I had high hopes for the alta, but disappoints. When compared to my surge worn on my wrist together registered a difference of up to 2000 steps at the end of the day. (Compared over a few days with the Alta coming up short consistently) Then compared to iPhone tracker again falling short. Not sure if it is only this particular Alta that is the problem, but other reviews looking back have mentioned discrepancies, Have owned 4 prior Charge models and loved how they worked, however each one of them the band ended up breaking. Fitbit needs to redesigns these bands or at least make them user replaceable. As far as the alta: band design is dead on, but not being accurate as a tracker is worthless!

Sometimes it doesn't record steps accurately. When you bring up your wrist to look at the time, it doesn't consistently show the clock and sometimes you have to tap it several times to get it to show the steps and miles completed. It has helped me to be more active, even if the steps aren't totally accurate.

The band is very hard to secure, the tabs have a hard time lining up. It also appears to be tearing on one side of the band just like the other bands have done in the past. You have a design flaw. Would have thought you would have fixed it by know. We have had these a couple of years!! Same problem!!!
