Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

This is my third Alta purchase. Got one for me, one for my wife and this one for my son. We all love the ease of use and the way it motivates us to move. Syncs beautifully with our iPhones. The competition is fierce, but the kid has the edge.

I've been very happy with this Fitbit! Love how narrow it is, and seems pretty accurate. Love that it tracks sleep, and I can see messages and who calls.

I like fit bit! They have great customer service! I have had a fit bit one tracker for a couple of years now and decided to try a wearable device so I wouldn't forget to use it, or have to hassle with changing things around at night, and possibly forgetting to put it back on in the morning. What I don't like about it: it does not track stairs. If I have it set up wrong, then my bad, but I haven't figured out how to correct this. I like the fact that it is also a watch, and one that I (having limited eyesight) can actually see! The text alerts are nice as well, and the reminders. It would be perfect if it were water proof, but for the price, it is excellent. I would definitely buy fit bit again. In fact, I just bought my husband the fit bit charge 2 and I think he will get a lot out of it as well. Btw, I can't wait to try some of the other bands for nights out!

I have the Fitbit one that clips onto your clothes. I bought this Fitbit for my girlfriend for work. She was always apprehensive of the Fitbit and never quite understood why I loved mine so much. She works in a factory and does 25,000+ Steps a day. She is going to be taking part in a health challenger and this keeps track of everything she could possibly need including her sleep. After using it for a few days she is very happy with it and now understands my obsession with mine! I’m glad she loves it as much as she does!

I have a fitbit for a while now, but I never liked the previous models. Upon the release of the Alta, my fiancé bought it as a birthday present. I wear it all the time and I love the notifications feature. I can screen messages and calls as they come in and decide if I want to respond before looking at my phone. I also like the fact that I can challenge my friends and we are all competitive. It has definitely helped me become more active.

it does what i need/like in a modest wrist profile. time, date, steps, active minutes, mileage, etc. it would have been 5 stars but i took one away because (i) i had to replace the original fit bit band -- tough to clasp and it does not stay in place. i bought an after market clasp band that works better. and (ii) i do not like the confusing calorie app. and last, (iii) it does not track stationary bike activity. my work around is to fasten it to my ankle but it misses mileage. C'mon Fit Bit--create an accessory for that. It can't be that tough.

Bought this for my wife. She's been wanting a fitness band of some sort for a long time, but when the Alta came out, she finally decided to jump on it. Got her set up in a few minutes and she's been using it for nearly a month now. Like the headline says, she's been happy with it ever day for all that time. It does everything she'd hoped for and quite a bit more besides, and lets her monitor the whole affair through her iPad Mini 4.

My wife wanted a nice FitBit too but didn't like how big the Charge HR was I bought her. This has a smaller fit or look to it which she liked and was in a color she loved too!

If you're wanting something to track steps, this has been pretty accurate. The battery life is pretty good (usually lasts 4-5 days), and monitors the heart rate pretty well, too. There is nothing fancy about it, and I'm not sure how well it tracks other "activities" since I'm not a biker, or much of a cardio person (treadmill elliptical, etc). There are more advanced products on the market, but for basic tracking of steps, heart rate, and sleep, I think it does a good job.

I really enjoy using this. It’s more reliable than using IPHONE to keep track of your steps. I love the reminder every hour, it keeps me moving. However, I found putting on the wristband a bit challenging.

I love how it records how i sleep. I used apps and other gizmos before but this seems to top them all. It know when you started sleeping and whether you have any restless periods or time when you awoke, It also knows when you stopped sleeping. Records all your history in the dashboard. Of course, you need to wear it to record. Plus, we all know about the activity tracker function and that works well too.

I bought two this past Christmas for my boys. They love it for telling time, setting up an alarm, and of course counting how many steps they did for the day. The only drawback I see is setting up the device for minors. You need an email account to associate to the device for setting up. My 9 year old doesn't have an email account yet, I think. Luckily, I have a spare account which I used but I get his Fitbit news updates via email also. The battery life is pretty good for 5 days.

I purchased this activity tracker for my best friend and she loves it. The device was extremely easy to set up with the new Alta. Instead of downloading an application, you simply go to the Fitbit website, plug in your device to your computer, and type in the number that appears on your Alta. Immediately you are able to sync your device. The new slimmer Fitbit is attractive and easy to use.

I bought the Alta about a week ago, and so far I love it! It is great if you are looking for a simple tracker to keep track of steps, calories and active time. It is also able to be synced with MyFitnessPal, which is very helpful. I like how small it is - I had a difficult time finding a tracker that wasn't too big for my wrist or too bulky, and this one fits perfect! Also, so far the battery life seems to be good - I've had it on for five days now without charging.

I liked the size of Flex but thought there wasn't much to it. I wasn't willing to get a larger Fitbit. Alta is the perfect size, plus has just enough of the extra features I was looking for. I love that it shows the time and sends you alerts. I keep my phone on silent and I've been able to catch multiple phone calls because of this device. Great and accurate sleep tracking too. I love it!
