Customers are saying
Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

Excellent entry-level wearable tech
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PRO: Bought this for my oldest child, very easy to sync and adjust for wear. Took about 10 mins to configure individualized settings, including text message alerts (with message output), customized time displays, etc. The sleek design it good for the someone who doesn't want (or need) the larger wearable tech. Isn't obtrusive and bulky. CON: When settings configured for hourly updates, the constant updates can be annoying, especially for a teenager in high-school.

Works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My fitbit tracker is easy to use and works whether it's on your wrist or in your pocket. My only complaint is it's very difficult to put on because the catch is hard to get into the holes in the rubber strap. It not only measures sleep, your steps per day and several other things, but it does tell time as well. I have to charge it up about once every 5 to 6 days. It has never lasted a whole week. Once I get it on, it is comfortable to wear. Overall I think it's great!

Updated From Flex - Best Choice!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I updated my FitBit Flex to the Alta. I like the automatic sleep detection, and the ability to link to my phone. I don't always hear my phone, but I always feel the Alta. Really liked the Flex, but didn't want the Flex on one wrist and a watch on the other - one tan-line was enough. :) I like the slim design, and you still get watch, text, and Fitbit info on the small screen.

Made a great gift for my wife's birthday !
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife has been into counting steps lately, so naturally the Fitbit came to mind as a gift. It is small so she has no problem wearing it to work, and with the multi color bands I bought separately she can match her outfits. My only negative comment is, they say to wear it all the time however it is not waterproof ? On our recent vacation this proved to be a pain as she had to constantly take it off before going into the ocean / pools. All in all it was just what she wanted.

Great for keeping track of exercise.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After wearing my fitbit for a month, I would recommend stepping up to the next one with the button to push for time. The one I purchased shows time, however, you do have to move your wrist just so to see the display. Also I would recommend the strap with the buckle as I had a difficult time getting this one to fasten. To be fair my granddaughter did not have any problem. All in all I do like this one but if purchasing today would get the better one.

Great all around
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the FitBit Alta to replace my FitBit Zip. I wasn't sure that I loved it at first and I wasn't sure about the accuracy of it. I think I just needed to get used to it. I love that I get messages on it and it reminds me to get moving. I do feel that it is more accurate than I first thought! I would definitely recommend and I also plan to buy a few as gifts for Christmas!

A good start for fitness monitoring
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works well for a general fitness tracker. The slim design stays out of the way and gives me the readings clearly when i want them. I really enjoy the text notifications, though I wish a firmware update would include some other messaging services. I enjoy the notifications that remind you to keep on the move, especially with a hectic college schedule. Silent notifications are a little weak in my opinion, but that may be to keep the good battery life.

My Wife loves her Alta
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife had the Fitbit Charge HR. She is small and the Charge HR looked clunky. She didn't need the heart rate monitor on the HR either. She loves her Alta. It's a lot more stylish. The Alta looks like it's going to replace the old charge. If you don't need the heart rate monitor, I would recommend the Alta.

Gifted
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift for my daughter. It was a little difficult to set up. The computer did not want to register it and it would freeze up on setup. Once I was finally able to set it up, there were no problems with it. I do find that the band can be quite difficult to close. However, the band is interchangeable and that helps. Other than that, it does exactly what it is meant to do. It's Simple and not to bulky for an 11 year old. Appears more like a bracelet.

Fitbit at its best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sleek and simple design , innovative interface these are some of the features that make this different from it predecessor and distinct amongst it's rivals. It's not just a good looking accessory but helps you track your activities. It motivates you to keep up the hard work you are putting in and applauds you for attaining the goals. Customize the goals according to your will and start rolling and of course Fitbit Alta is there to help and keep the spirit going.

Good Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i was on the fence about purchasing this because of the reviews. i figured id give it a try - its a very good product. It DOES hold its battery life - 4-6 days (In use all day) Easy to charge. LOVE the text preview feature. Not 100% accurate but deff gets the job done. It helps ALOT by just getting a close enough activity report on what you have done all day. I haven't used the data entry feature yet though ( Tracking my exercise or calorie intake)

love the accuracy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only does it sync to my phone but also to MyFitnessPal app. It is very accurate. I do love it, but it does have 2 flaws. I am not happy with the exercise portion. Even though I have it set to track my exercise activity it does not! It does give you the option to manually set it in BUT it only allows u to do walking, running and Hiking... I am a gym person so as I add this in it isnt quite right so I took a star away. Flaw 2 is most of the food I type in or scan doesnt pop up so negative another star. Gladly it links to the MFP so I use that and it automatically syncs into the Fitbit app on my phone. Def tracks you steps well and has an almarn which is helpful when i need reminders for my vitamins

Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first fitness tracker and I am pleased with its accuracy. It can be difficult to get hooked on, but I have mastered that. Am disappointed that you need usb to charge.

Fitbit quality....improved and smaller.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Alta is small and very functional. The only qualm I have is that it had no altimeter so no stair count.

Definitely would purchase again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does what it is supposed to do simply - recording steps is great - it learns my stride (i.e. I take longer strides so I have less steps but walk more miles than others.) - email notifications are helpful. - looks great on the wrist. - I love having a watch that does more than tells time - only desire I have would be making it water proof (50 M) so I dont have to take it off as much (i.e. Showering, amusement parks, swimming, etc. )

Easy to use activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 2nd Fitbit Alta. It's simple and easy to use. Plus, it is the smallest tracker with display that I could find. Pros: Easy to use, display with no other device needed, can be synced to phone, connect with friends on Fitbit website, no HR. Cons: It doesn't count steps & I don't care for the band that comes with it for every day use (easily remedied). The band is great for exercise, though.

Great fitness tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my fitbit Alta. It is pretty good with steps but if you do too much hand movement it will pick that up as well. I like the fact that I can preview my text messages.
