Simple to use. App works great on Samsung Galaxy 8. Never knew how many steps in a normal day. Used challenges with friends, great motivator.

Didn’t know I had sleeping problems until Fitbit. Also, I loke the way it tracks calories burned so I can stay under with calories consumed.

I purchased the Fitbit Altra Activity Tracker after researching online the various types and styles. Fitbit provided the most styles and price range. The slim style does not interfere with daily activity and is easy to set up and sync to other devices. Not designed to replace medical equipment accuracy, this fun and stylish device will motivate you to get up and go!

My teenage daughter received this as a Christmas gift. She loves this model Fitbit because the band is thin and not as bulky as some of the other models.It was very easy to set up and link to her iphone. It is a very versatile little device-clock, alarm, heart rate monitor. She can monitor her activity for the day and also see text messages on the Fitbit.

I lost my edge :(. So I settled for the Alta. I like the heart monitor, it’s re-chargeable (no more batteries), the sleep monitor, use with Strava and friendly competitions are now continued. I don’t like that I now have another customized charger, I have difficulty syncing to my devices, its danty looks and I keep it in my pocket. I wish a setting existed for pocket mode and you could display the date on the device.

My wife had been wearing the larger FitBit and when this one came out she was all over it. Perfect size, great capability. Highly Recommend

I think these watches still have a ways to go with their technology but this is pretty good. I got it mostly for heart rate and sleep monitoring. I had read that fitbit is the best for sleep monitoring and Garmin is the best as a pedometer. So I went with Fitbit. The pedometer is pretty good unless you don't swing your arms when you walk. If I'm pushing a cart at Walmart it doesn't register that I'm walking. I don't know if it thinks I'm in a riding cart or what but I don't get credit. So at the store I track with my phone if I am pushing a cart. I do hope they come out with one that doesn't sit up as high on the wrist but all of these watches tend to be thick, especially if they have so many features. I really like the sleep detection. I have been amazed but they say that is it's strong point. One other problem I had was that it stopped syncing for a while. I finally got online and learned how to reboot it so it started syncing again. That has happened 2 or 3 times. The heart rate thing has been helpful since I have POTS (a type of tachycardia) that can act up sometimes. I found after talking to someone a while, standing, I was able to tell them I need to sit down because see, my heart rate was over 120. I find it is better than just saying I don't feel well.

I've always used my cell phone to track steps. After purchasing the Fitbit Alta HR I wondered why did I wait so long. Like to track not just my steps but heart rate and review calories burned on my cell phone app. I'm a diabetic educator and always try to encourage my patients. I enjoy living as healthy as possible and the Alta HR helps me to achieve that goal.

Very easy to use and it provides everything you need in a step tracker. Also gives you notifications from your smart phone. A great gift!

I was a fan of the Nike Fuelbands back in the day and never thought I’d purchase a FitBit. Needless to say, when I went through my fourth Fuelband, I decided to call it quits with any sort of health tracking device. However, the one key difference I found with this was the ability to track my heart rate, as well as how much I was sleeping each night. I didn’t realize how much time I was actually spending awake, even after I thought I had laid down to sleep! This isn’t as accurate as participating in an actual sleep study, or as having wires hooked up to monitor your heart rate; however, it is a nice, small device that allows you have a better idea of what’s going on with your body. Plus, it does remind you when you’ve been inactive for too long. Add in that it also vibrates to alert you when you have a text message (which it will preview for you on the screen for about a line or two) or when you have a phone call. I think this is great since I don’t always have my phone right next to me. I also liked the blue-gray color as it seems to go with everything. I would recommend the Alta for someone who likes to stay active, maybe wants to get a better idea of his/her sleeps habits, and wants to get notifications of texts/calls.

My 18 year old daughter loved this. The smaller band is perfect for her petite build. She wears it every day and loves all the features.

My gf saw how much I loved using my fitbit when hiking and she wanted to get a little competition on. Works great for her city lifestyle.

Design is much better. Pretty much same features tracked. Biggest complaint is it isn't compatable with my Samsung Note software. Was able to setup using my phone. Works great so far.

I up graded finally for myself from the original fitbit to this Alta HR! Where has this been all my life? I truly love the ease of use! This is great for a first time fitbit user! For those in yoga it'll help you learn how to control your heartbeat/breath by actually seeing it there on the app, as well as on your wrist! Awesome!

Really love this Fitbit. Ordered a large which was huge, the small fits perfect and leaves 3 sizing holes on the wristband. My previous one had wristband issues, only had it 9 months and the wristband started unlatching with minimal tension from the device (and I lost it while swimming....). This one looks great and love the features.

Works perfect for my child. Allows her easy aces to view text messages in class for updates from me & helps her taylor her sleep pattern

great watch, wife uses it, she likes how accurate it is, just could be better with sleep. and wakening up, needs some tuning there.

This device does everything I want it to do. The worst part is getting it set up to Bluetooth for messages and texts. The best is the ease of using the app once it is bluetoothed.
