Fitbit Charge(s) Owned for Three Days

Normally I would not review a product after such a short time. But at this point feel it is warranted. My husband and I began with Fitbit Zips. We love the product concept and have been successful in moving toward our goals. We decided to switch to the Charge(s) since the Zips were going through 2032 batteries about every 38 days. Those batteries are expensive! The description for the Charge indicates it's rechargeable battery will last 5-7 days. We fully charged our 2 new Fitbit Charge wristbands on 9/12/15. My husband had to recharge his (purchased at Bed Bath Beyond) on 9/13/15!! And I had to recharge mine (purchased at Best Buy) today, 9/14/15! This is extremely disappointing!! I can only hope that going through all the setup features drained the rechargeable Fitbit Charge(s) and subsequent battery life will reflect what is promised! At this point I would be afraid to recommend to anyone.

    Best Fitbit Yet

I have had all the Fitbit Trackers - really liked the Force and had to return for recall. Have been using Garmin Vivosmart while waiting for the newest Fitbit trackers. Vivosmart is also very good and I wasn't sure which I would keep. But I love the Charge. I like the clear bright screen and it's amazingly accurate for tracking sleep automatically. It even tracked my nap today. Highly recommend. I have a very small wrist and I got the small so it fits perfect.

    Simply doesn't work

The hoopla around this device reminds me of the iphone. The difference is, the iPhone actually works. This device is incredibly inaccurate. I wouldn't trust any information it provides. Our company bought one for our 200 employees, and not one person our of 200 found them to be accurate. Steps not recorded, too many steps recorded, sleep tracking doesn't work at all. Within two months of receiving these, no one was wearing them. Mine wouldn't stay on because the clasp is so cheap. Then the band started to crack after only two weeks. What a colossal waste of money.

    Great except for the band

We purchased 3 of these, 1 for my wife and 1 for each of my 2 kids. Be careful of the bands, they are not like the charge HR. The band does not have a buckle and my son has already lost his twice (and found it both times) after rough housing. This band also gave my wife a bad rash, she has sensitive skin and the rash was pretty bad. If she wears the charge for 5-6 hours it is okay but she can not sleep in it or wear for extended periods of time.

Gave it to my dad for father's day. He tried it with his amazon fire phone, but the app is really slow and doesn't do auto-synching so it's very bothersome. He ended up not using it. Otherwise, it's a good device to keep track of your daily activity.

I bought a fitbit charge for my wife and one for myself. We love them. The ability to connect with other fitbit users has given us even more reason to get active. We can challenge each other daily, and keep each other accountable for how much activity we are doing. We should have gotten these a long time ago.

Got this for my wife as a gift, she loves being able to link with friends who are also using a fit and compete against each other. She likes that fact that it's a watch as well and it can sync to your phone in case you don't hear it or feel it vibrate.

    Great Sleep Tracker

The sleep tracker is the main reason i wanted a FitBit. I chose the Charge because i have a bad habit of leaving my phone on silent, and it does a great job of letting me know when i have an incoming calll. I was at first worried about how the sleep tracker would work, since there is no way for you to set it. My fears were soon put to rest after the first night! It does it automatically, it even tracks your naps!

Fitbit Charge is excellent for you wellness tracking. I purchased it to motivate myself to be more active still trying to make 10,000 steps but I will get there soon. The best part I discover I like the most about Fitbit is you can sync it to your IPhone or Android phone to track and its shows you who is calling. This is very affective for when your phone is in your purse or pocket you can see on your Fitbit who it is verses digging your cell out to look.

I got this watch for my son who wanted to track his steps, more for fun than anything, but it encouraged him to play outside more than he would usually do. He kept trying to get rewards from overstepping the recommended daily number of steps. It is also a good time keeper and unlike many of the watches available, it was small enough to be a good fit for a 10 year old.

Even though it doesn't always accurately measure steps, I love the Fitbit app that has challenges that you can invite your friends to.

    Accuracy questionable but still worthwhile

Bought 2 as gifts. The step counter and sleep monitor are not as accurate as hoped. For example, the counter incremented by several hundred steps on a long car ride. I feel that it's not as accurate as a smartphone, which probably uses GPS, gyroscopes, and rotational sensors. I don't think the FitBit has any of these. Nonetheless, the recipients feel motivated to exercise. In that sense, it is money well spent.

    Disappointed

Counted a lot of steps when riding or driving in the car. Also counted climbing stairs when I did not climb any stairs. For the price I was very disappointed in how inaccurate it was. The app for this is pretty awesome though and I love that it syncs with Myfitnesspal. I ended up exchanging it for the basis peak. If I'm gonna spend the money on a fitness tracker then I want it to be accurate. Let's hope the peak is better!
