Perfect and Easy to Use
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this Fitbit for my elderly mom and she loves it. For an elderly, who is trying to track her activities as well as get the time, this was perfect. This watch is easy to use, she tracks her steps, and the amount of time she goes up and down the stairs. It’s also a plus that this watch is connected to her iPhone. She can check who is calling and check her messages. She doesn’t use it for anything complicated, she just loves that it is easy to use.

College Student Must Have
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a college student, before I got the Fitbit Versa 3 I was never a watch "wearer" however ever since I got the Fitbit Versa I have never been able to take it off. I love the fact that my messages come straight to the watch, that I can track my sleep or maybe the fact of sleep, and even control my music straight from the watch. I also love how long the battery lasts, roughly 2.5 days but I would suggest charging during the day and wearing it to sleep so you can learn a lot more about how you sleep (I didn't know I was such a light sleeper!) Initial impressions after 5 days of use
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are my initial impressions of the Fitbit Versa 3, based on five days of use. I will look to post an update later on when I've had a chance to exercise more of its features and experience its battery life in real-world use. This is my fourth fitness tracker/smartwatch, so I have some familiarity with these devices going back to 2014. I've had a Microsoft Band, Garmin Forerunner 235, and Fitbit Ionic, so that's my frame of reference coming into this review. First impressions coming out of the box were - frankly - meh. Coming from the Ionic, the Versa definitely seems cheaper. The band, particularly, looks and feels cheap, though it's not uncomfortable. Unfortunately, Fitbit has inexplicably changed the band design, so one cannot tap into the large variety of existing Versa/Versa 2/Versa Lite bands on the market. Hopefully other vendors will start giving us more variety in Sense/Versa 3 bands in the near future. The Versa 3 itself is kind of a glossy black-on-matte black, which with the black band looks kind of...well...cheap and black. It would have been nice to have had more of the color options from the Versa 2 (and its better-looking, less cheap-looking bands). That said, the Versa 3 is lighter/more comfortable on the wrist than the Ionic, probably due to the narrower band. Functionally, I'm not really thrilled about almost everything being touchscreen-driven; the Ionic had three side buttons that could be used (at least, initially) for selecting/starting/stopping activities. (Those features were removed from the Ionic and moved to the touchscreen later in its life bye a software update.). The Versa has a single capacitive button on the left side for waking the screen that has a habit of triggering when I don't want it to, while being hard to actually press when I do. Luckily the Versa 3's "wrist glance" gesture detection is better than the Ionic's. The menus are more or less what I was expecting after using the Ionic, and I was able to quickly uninstall apps I didn't care about, like Starbucks payments or Deezer (?!). It would be nice if Fitbit could upgrade their watch face/App Store experience to include direct payments through them, rather than forcing developers to use random PayPal-knockoff payment services to make money on their software. Demo videos of watch faces in action would be nice, too. Sleep tracking, heart rate tracking, and step tracking are more or less what I expect from Fitbit. I haven't tried the "smart wake" feature yet, but will add notes once I've had a chance to use it for a few days.

Does everything that I want it to do
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.***This purchase was made as a step up from a much cheaper starter watch.*** The setup is pretty quick and I didn’t run into any snags. It has synced effortlessly since day one. Its accuracy... who knows with any of these things. All I want is a ballpark and I think that’s what any of us can really ask for. The wristband is comfortable and easy to adjust. The battery life is good. I’m on my third day of not charging it right now but I’ll have to charge it tonight for sure. I don’t look at it often so I don’t think it drains as quickly as it might for some other users. I like that it gives me snapshots of my text messages and allows me to take / reject calls from it. Both have worked without a hitch. The software makes it easy to track your goals. Navigation from screen to screen takes a little getting use to, but you’ll get it in a day or two. The screen is clear and responsive. Overall I really don’t have much to complain about. The only thing that I would note is that the charging cable is super short. It’s not a reason for me to get another model, but I think it’s something that might be of concern depending on where you charge your electronics. Also, it might take you awhile to get use to activating the button on the side every time. Once I realized that it takes a “squeeze” rather than just touching the button, my opinion of the side buttons functionality changed.

It Keeps on Chugging
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the Versa 3 for a number of years now. It still works great. I’ve never really wanted a smart watch that does more than what this watch offers so for me it’s great. I’ve always got about 4-5 days of battery unless I use gps tracking a lot for runs or hikes, then maybe it’s more like 2-3 days, but I really can’t complain. The only reason it’s not a 5 star review is because in the last 6 months or so, the charge contacts have become picky about positioning in just the right way to charge correctly. Other than that, I am actually quite surprised at how well this has held up.

I love it, with just one exception
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Fitbit Versa 3 is my first fittness tracker ever. So I can't compare it to the other versions of the Versa series. So far I love it. I like the reminders to move, steps counted, and sleep tracking. The one thing I didn't like however was I got a rash from wearing the fitbit after a week. So I'll take it off from time to time to give my wrist a breather.

Versa 3 smart watch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the FitBit Versa 3 to replace the Apple Watch I returned. I wanted this watch for the sleep tracking and the oxygen/heart rate monitoring features and the much longer battery life. The Versa 3 has lasted me nearly a week before it needed charging, a huge improvement over the Apple Watch I returned that wouldn’t even last a full day. I’m very pleased with the Versa 3 but occasionally have had issues with the time not appearing when I raise my wrist to check it. That hasn’t happened enough to make me set the watch to the always on position that drains the battery faster, it’s just an occasional frustration that prompted my 4 stars instead of 5.

Pretty much perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research on fitness trackers and I finally settled on the Fitbit Versa 3. Today (2-19-2021) I am still very happy with my choice. It works fantastic as a Fitness tracker and still pretty good as a smartwatch. The battery life is also a huge plus for me I can easily count on it to last days with normal use. The addition of google assistant has made it so much more useful. My complaints are that the motion of turning your wrist to get it to turn on can be a little tricky. You need to do it a certain way which sometimes can be inconvenient. Also, there is a limited selection of apps on the Fitbit store. I hope Google's acquisition of the company will help this.

High quality and works with my iphone
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Contrary to many of the reviews here, I actually really love this watch. I've never owned a fitbit versa before, so I can't speak to the "is it a worthwhile upgrade" argument, but I will say that this watch functions very well. I use an iphone, but I don't like the short battery life of the apple watch, so I bought this as an alternative. I couldn't be happier! The screen is bright and easy to read. With the screen in always on mode, I'm still getting close to 3 full days of battery life. I get all my notifications to the watch, and I can control the music on my phone, which is a really nice touch. I was surprised at how light weight the watch is, which some may say makes it feel cheap, but I don't think that's the case. It looks and feels quality, it's just light weight and doesn't bounce around on your wrist like some watches do. My only complaint is that it is occasionally difficult to push the side button, but I have the watch set up to "lift wrist to wake watch" so I don't even use the button much anyways. Overall, a great smart watch!

Face Falls Off. Common Defect in Fitbits
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a Versa 3 for my wife for Christmas Dec 1, 2020. She loved it until Friday March 4, 2022. Three months out of warranty, the face of the watch simply fell off, while she was sitting in a chair reading. She has never used it for athletic activities. And only wears it to monitor her sleep patterns since she has sleep Apnea. I then spent considerable time online trying to see how it can be repaired. It's impossible. Fitbit does not support repairs. they don't sell any replacement parts and the only website that offers to repair a detached face, charges $160 to do so. Almost as much as a new Versa 3 costs. I also called UBreakIFix, a national chain that specializes in Smartphone repairs and they said that Fitbit is extremely protective of their product and will not even sell replacement parts for repair and they do not want you repairing one, preferring instead to force you to buy a new Watch. I then Google'd methods for gluing the face back to the body, but that was an extremely dicey activity, because you also have to reconnect the microscopic chip strap (which dangles from the backside of the watch face), to the microscopic connector terminal, located underneath a "screwed in place" metal shield. I couldn't even see this connector joint with a magnifying glass. And besides that, as can be seen in one of the attached pics is that black connector strap which actually broke off from the rear of the watch face. As I Google'd this condition, I found a ton of complaints from Fitbit customers who had the same thing happen to them.....face falling off for no reason and Fitbit totally unwilling to offer solutions unless you were still in warranty. Their technology is far better than their manufacturing quality of the watch body. The face is held in place by a "less than paper thin" black self adhesive gasket which is extremely thin and narrow. So there is very little holding the face to the body. If you buy a Fitbit of any model, be prepared for failure within the first 2-3 years. So you better buy an extended warranty for as long as a period of time possible, because this watch is a throw away item. Had I known about this defect prior to purchase, I would have known to include "watch face failure" or falling off, in my keyword search. That is when you will see all of the consumer complaints about this happening fairly often. Unfortunately all of the 4 to 5 Star reviews are written by people who have been pleased with the overall technology of the Fitbit and not related to this inherent defect. STAY AWAY

Fitbit Versa 3 Good and less good aspects!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The watch is attractive, has a nice large face, and is comfortable to wear. It tracks my steps, heart rate and calories well. I am still learning how to access some of it's features, however, I find this Fitbit somewhat less useful than I had expected, as it doesn't actually have that many functions unless you pay for the premium service, I would like to alert anyone with sensitive skin - I developed a skin rash on my dominant wrist from either the underside or straps ( I don't seem to have a problem with my other hand). For me, it has been very important to be sure to completely dry the skin under the watch after sweating or washing my hands!

Amazing value, best sleep tracking built in!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent watch and fitness tracker. Heart Rate Zones are great and I have lost 35 pounds this year thanks to FitBit getting me to power walk more often and at just the right pace. The Versa 3 is much better than the Versa 2 that I upgraded from. Better screen, Google Assistant and nicer band. The wonderful sleep tracking capability is such a great help. My wife is an Apple Fanatic and wears an Apple Watch 6 all day long but for sleep tracking she puts on her Versa 3. The precious information that this amazing watch reveals is very helpful especially for someone with sleep apnea like myself. Battery life for me is 4 days on a single charge with heavy usage. My wife gets 6-7 days on hers.

Great Upgrade from Versa 1
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good battery life for a full-color smartwatch - I can actually get 5 days in real-world use, which is pretty good considering they advertise "up to 6 days." The fast charging is also very welcome - a 25-minute charge in the morning while getting ready for work can add 40-50% charge. If you're trying to decide between the Sense and this Versa 3, just get this Versa 3. The Sense does have more hardware and can track more things, but unless you're absolutely sure you want those, I don't think they can justify the added $100 versus what the Versa itself offers. This is the perfect combination of "good fitness tracker" and "decent smartwatch that handles notifications" for a really good price, compared to higher-power and more expensive smartwatches like Android Wear watches or an Apple Watch.

Good While It Lasted
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the better fitness watches I've tried for versatility of use and accurate fitness tracking. However, I regularly had difficulty with things like the gesture of turning the watch toward you not turning on the face even when settings were enabled. The watch also had degraded battery performance over time and eventually died on me without clear cause at about a year and a half of use.

Great Upgrade from Charge 3
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure after reading all of the reviews if this was going to be the watch for me or not. I've been wearing it now for almost 3 weeks 24/7 except in the shower. That's when I give my wrist a breather. So far all features work; Accepts phone calls through the watch, Google Assistant works great, Find My Phone has already been a feature I didn't know I'd missed until I had to use it! I love the new infinity band s better than the regular watch type band. No bulk under your wrist and it's never once fallen off or come unclasped. I purchased 4 addt'l bands from ebay that work great. I have my watch set on Normal brightness display and find it's very easy to read even in the sun. I loaded a couple different watch faces where the numbers are bigger and that helps too! I actually forgot to set my SPo2 watch face last night and the watch still recorded all of my vitals. It is interesting to see how these numbers move and or stay about the same. I have been enjoying the Premium Fitbit app since I got several mos free with the purchase of the watch. I have found enough worthwhile functions that I will most likely subscribe after the free time is up. The watch is much bigger than my Charge 3 but it also is easier to see and read. I don't even notice the larger size now. Has the added benefit of answering the phone without having to get up and get it and has helped me find my phone which was invaluable! If you're on the fence don't let the negative reviews scare you. I'm more than pleased with my purchase!

Fabulous fit, slow syncing
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a physical product, the fit is great, as is the battery life. My only complaints are with the app, an issue I've had with both android and iPhones -- in that it likes to stop syncing which requires a time consuming process to reset and sometimes results in lost data. That said, I think it worked better with my Pixel than iPhone. Still, for the price comparison against the Apple Watch, it's a great bargain.
