My fitbit alta was starting to fail so I decided it was time for an upgrade. After comparing all the models I decided on this on mostly for the spo2 readings and the ability to access spotify from my watch.
It wasn't until after I bought my fitbit versa 3 that the spo2 isn't automatic. You have to download a special watch face to be able to access the spo2 readings. Then it doesn't do it at any given time you have to wear it to bed overnight until it gives you your first reading then it updates overnight which is not helpful for what I wanted it to do. I also had to do an update and the screen ended up reverting to the original watch face so I had to go back and select an spo2 face again.
I feel like once a week when I try to check the temperature with the weather app it tells me that I need to sync my watch again to my fitbit app. At that point if I had to do that at least once a week I could just use the weather app on my phone.
My fitbit alta would immediately and always show me text previews, who was calling, etc. I thought I set my watch up right but so far it hasn't showed it to me I have to manually look for it in my watch.
I also feel like I have to practically smash the screen to get it to wake or to select an app.
So what do I like about it? I do like the easy to read display screen. I feel like the steps and activity levels are more accurate than with my fitbit alta. I like the exercise app so I can log my weight training sessions, yoga, or any other exercise that fitbit might not normally pick up. The band buckle took me a minute to get used to but I do like the ease of application and removal. I also like the way it connects to charge.
In summary, knowing what I know now, I probably would not have splurged on this particular model. I probably would have saved some money and just went with the fitbit luxe or fitbit charge 4 I was originally thinking about.
I also realize some of this may be a learning curve as this watch does much more than my alta but I've had the watch now for about 3 weeks.
I got tired of the Apple Watch and its rings and not being able to see the metrics I want in the watch face, so I switched, and I’m glad I did! Now I can see steps and distance at a glance; I don’t have to go searching for it. I can customize my watch face!
You can answer the phone on the Versa 3, but the quality is poor (but how often did I answer the phone on my watch anyway?)
It monitors your heart, but there’s no ECG on the Versa 3 (Again, I don’t know how to read an ECG, so does it matter?) It will notify you if your heart rate is too high or too low, which is really the most useful heart application for me.
It keeps me accoutable, i love the sleep tracking andheart rate. The app helps me track my food and water. Exactly what I was looking for. Appreciate the weekly updates that track week to week performance

Fitbit Versa 3
Owned for 1 month when reviewed.
The Versa is very nice. If you wear it to bed at night it tracks your sleep patterns.
You text message can be read from your Fitbit and you can answer your phone on it. You can also listen to your music on your Fitbit. One thing I like about it is that it tracks your exercise. I have tracked my walking, bike riding and other exercises.
Replacement for a Versa that stopped working. Like the feature. The band attached is not very good. Like how the band of the original Versa attached. By band has become detached four times since I had the Versa 3.
Have used Fitbit for ever. This is the best product to date. A greatness fitness & wellness partner. Battery is longer the Apple, but seems shorter than prior products. New style of charging device, rendered the ones I used with Versa obsolete and the cord is very short.
I got it for my daughter to do cycling it’s very easy to use and charging is fast she likes there’s a spinning option the bike one is for outdoors the spinning is for indoors quick and easy to set up pretty basic
she loves it worth the money for your first fitness tracker

A:AnswerBuilt in GPS, fast charging (12 minutes for a full charge), slightly bigger screen, if you have auto on display it senses when its nighttime and wont turn on if you sleep with your fitbit. I believe those are the major changes.
