The fitbit exceeded my expectations and the price was great!

It works as described. There are no fancy features, just basically a pedometer and the ability to track your progress day to day and weekly. You can also track weight loss and calorie intake by inputting that information via your phone app, but it's a little painstaking to do. You do get a little "happy" when you earn a new badge. You can compete against others for distance daily and weekly; I haven't tried that feature.

This is a small, fairly accurate, fun device, It is a way to keep exercise a matter of goal achievement.

This Fitbit Activity Tracker is good for keeping track of steps. Not for the person wanting to track every movement all day. Downside is this tracker does not keep track of stairs and a few other features the wrist Fitbit does. Otherwise, good buy, good price.

These are a very simple, easy, fast and inexpensive way to measure general activity. No online fee required like some other more complicated devices. Some programs are linking directly to fitbit.com, So check with your local pharmacy and health insurance. You walk, You get rewarded. It's just that simple.

First fit-bit defective after 1 month. Tried new battery which did not fix problem. Company replaced unit for free. Since then I noticed that the rubber jacket around the clip slides and elongates as the tip of the clip fell off. In terms of actual data gathering, unit is fairly accurate, responsive, light weight, synchs to database just fine.

It has been very helpful keeping track of my activity every day. Makes me more accountable.
