Tried this item on a car with an issue that I knew it had and it said the car was fine. I bought it for parents and returned it because it did not work as described.

It stopped working after I took it to the shop to be repaired. Has not worked since then.

Returned this item. They try to add a subscription service to get the full functionality. Not recommended because of this.

It sucks you’ll still need to purchase the program after downloading the app. After see trail. Not worth it

Don’t waste your money. Unless you pay for a subscription, it won’t tell you anything that’s really useful

You can do the same thing at auto zone for free why buy something than have to buy a subscription too truly use it.

Beware: First they try to sneak in a $99 charge for an annual subscription in fine print when you buy it, that you don't need. It got past me when I bought it, and was shocked when saw the charge unexpectedly, I had to request a refund which they granted. Then the unit requires your car's engine to be running in order to work, other basic models with plug-in cord only require vehicle to be in the on/start mode to work, not running. Then the Fixd tool does not turn off the check engine light. 2 other plug in OBD tools I have tried had no problem clearing the engine code and light. Fixd customer support, which has no phone number or live person to talk to, only emails back and forth which takes days, try and tell me the tool can't clear the Check Engine light if it's an emissions related code, which is not true, as the 2 plug in models I tried, $30, each had no problem clearing the code and light. You also have to download an app and have internet connectivity to use the tool which is a PITA. Then Fixd company gets all of your data on your vehicle for their records, VIN#, year, make, model, and who knows what else. I didn't have a need to use the tool until after 30 days, because my car wasn't in need of service, and after learning the tool won't clear my engine light, they are refusing to provide a refund for a product that doesn't function as it should, as the standard plug in models do.

I recommend FIXD for anyone who needs to see why they have a check engine light WITHOUT going to the mechanic. I feel like we’ve all been ripped off once or twice at the mechanic before so this gives you a bit of power in your decisions now. Works well for me!

Christmas Present in 2017. Plugged in my Mazda and registered it just to see what it does in February of 2018 - No Problem Detected (as expected) and I noticed you could manually enter a history and keep track of service with it which I already do with a file I keep on each car. Unplugged it and set it aside. Later my Chrysler light went on so I thought I would see what was wrong, this is when I found out it will only work on one vehicle. In 2022 my Mazda light went on so I tried it again only to find I needed to pay for a subscription to make it work. After doing so I tested car revealing an Emission Control System Leak. Upon 3 possible issues the most common was a Gas cap leak that I changed for $18.00. Light stayed on and I did not see any way of resetting in on the App. For $45 I had a tech reset the light and he found no other issues. PLUS Does a great job of stating what is wrong and ideas of how to fix it and cost estimates. APP includes such features as to value of car FIXD history and recommendations as when to do general maintenance on to keep it in top condition. - The $69.99 yearly Premium is a good deal if you want the FIXD to keep up with all your car needs, but you must continually update the data for it to be accurate. MINUS - Required separate unit for each vehicle - NOT clear how to clear the code. - The $8.99 one month Premium is a good deal if you just want to check out the light when it goes on and do the simple things before bringing the car in for service, but a better explanation is needed for clearing the code to save the $45 fee to have a service center clear it.

I ordered FIXD OBDII monitor to easily track my vehicle's performance. Since my car's 10 years old, I want to stay on top of maintenance to make sure that it continues to run well. After following the easy setup process, I was able to diagnose a few issues that I can begin to take care of myself, and fixes I'll need to bring my car in for. The FIXD dashboard will help me talk with a mechanic already knowing the issue, cost, and labor needed rather than letting a shop take advantage of my situation.

I bought one directly from FIXD. I'm on vacation and while the unit is sitting at my home I have not seen it, until a few minutes ago I had not downloaded their app or anything. The problem is they automatically added a free trial of their premium service to my order - which I didn't ask for. And with travelling I've not been checking my emails so I missed the email that they had automatically signed me up for their premium service (which I never asked for!)And now they have billed me $99.99 for that service even though I never activated my account and have not even seen the unit yet. So I downloaded the app, signed up, cancelled the subscription and it says I can get a full refund within 30 days but the 'refund' button I see now I've cancelled the service doesn't work. Worst experience ever! Buyer beware!!
