Great dash cam, and I love the new features plus it's really small easy to mount.

I purchased this camera for my protection for all those drivers who are on the phone & are not looking where they are going. I spend about 8 hours a day driving & I feel that if anything happens I will have documentation of what happened. I also used it when on vacation to show the beautiful drive I took.

Purchased first camera in mid May 2018, that camera failed after roughly 2 weeks. Immediately exchanged it and now the second camera has failed after roughly 6 weeks. The camera system itself is pretty good, if you live in Alaska, the Pacific NW, or you are willing to unplug the camera and remove it from the car if you are in any season other than winter. Short of that, and from my experience with TWO cameras thus far, its just a matter of time before it burns out. I had the camera set to power down when the vehicle was off, started the car up on a warm day, and dead........again.......I wouldn't even remotely consider using this unit as a hardwired continual recording camera. I own plenty of Garmin products and they typically handle whatever I throw at them for as long as I can throw it at them, but not this device. This camera is, without question, the lowest quality Garmin product I've ever owned. If they could make this camera as temperature tolerant as their Fenix 5X wrist watch or any other device they make, it would be a no brainer.......but as it stands, I'm still considering whether its even worth it or not to go through the whole warranty process to replace this camera in order to get a third stick of butter to put on my windshield........

I've had camera for about 3 weeks. This camera is awesome. After reading the reviews about how this camera is falling off of the windshield because of the heat, I purchased the suction mount to correct that problem. I live in southern Arizona and it is hot here. I have had no issues with this camera falling off of the windshield do to heat.

Love my new Dash Cam. Has a lot of features and shuts off when you turn off your vehicle unless you hot wire it which i will in the future. They have an app to add to your phone as well to get all photos and video off of the Dash Cam for safe keeping. Super happy with this product.

easy to operate and gives clear pictures and videos

Very discrete and hides perfectly, from view behind my review mirror. Also like the traffic warnings, although that won’t be as useful for folks with advanced driving features such as lane keeping and front collision assistance. I haven’t had to use any of the footage, but it also is easy to control and scroll through for video footage.

This is my second Garmin Dash Cam 45. Now I have 2 Garmin Dash Cam in both of our cars. It a compact size dash cam, dimension 2.2” wide x 1.6” high x 1.4” depth (note: “ – inches), Weight 2.1 oz. with removable memory micro 4GB SD cards came with the cam and it support up to 64GB memory card. A great safety product and potential witness.

We recently took a 3 week family road trip from Virginia to Florida, Alabama, Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma. We connected the camera up the first day and had it running the whole trip. Excellent views and coverage with great pictures. When we got back attended a friends retirement and bought him one as a gift.

Excellent dash cam for the price. Love the front collision warning and lane departure warning features. Have it in my daughters car and gives me peace of mind knowing that if something happens it is there to document.

After doing research and looking at various products, I decided to purchase this one because of the Garmin reputation. The record and playback features are very good. Only issue we are having is mounting it.
