This device is small enough that it won't distract you and can't be seen by others right away. Although its small, the screen is very clear and the features behind it are robust. I can save video and photos and it has wifi to connect with your phone for viewing Via an app. I am really impressed with is performance

Great silent witness in your car at all times works well

This dash cam is used every day. The full HD captures impressive video footage as well as still photos. It is nearly 2 years later and the dash cam looks and performs like the day we purchased it. Easy to use and easy to view on your smart phone or computer.

It's a great camera alone, for its clarity being able to shoot in 1080... not many features to it.. but does do everything it's intended for. Bigger gig sd card might help... and certainly more features on the VIRB app..

This is my first dash cam and thankfully I bought the warranty plan through Best Buy. I installed this dash cam with the parking enabled cable. The issue I’ve had with it is sometime it will ask me to insert the memory card when it’s already in and it will go in and out of parking mode when I’m driving. I took back my original one with the warranty and got a new one and it does the same thing. I’m pretty sure this wouldn’t happen if I just used the supplied power cable. Other than this, it works well. Although the quality isn’t good enough to read license plates even up close.

Product is awesome size, mount is great (3m double sided tape) magnetic, didn't realize this at first and left in windshield stopped working. Awaiting replacement.

No magnet in box (allows you to attach the camera to the inside of your windshield) and instructions are not clear. After 3 days of use, I took it back for a refund. This camera gets so hot, you could fry bacon in it (even in November) and I got a Uniden instead at Best Buy that I’m totally happy with.

Got this dash cam to use on a long road trip and because I’d wanted one in case of accident or bogus traffic ticket. The Garmin 45 exceeds expectations. Great HD video, very wide angle viewing and embedded date/time/location and speed data with continuous audio recording. Great buy for the money.

What a wonderful device to have in your vehicle, the video is great and now it can also record audio. I recently used it as a rear viewing camera and it came in very handy during a parking lot accident when another driver backed up into me and hit me. The video is very compelling. Get 2 of them!

Great dash cam for the Owner Operator truck driver, company driver, or or any person looking to keep themselves safe while driving. The camera quality is great during daytime drives; decent at night.

OVERALL THIS GARMIN IS WELL MADE, SMALL SIZE MAKES IT EASY TO INSTALL AND MAKES IT NOT SO OBVIOUS. RECORDS AUTOMATICALLY AS LONG AS IT IS HARDWIRED WHICH YOU WILL NEED THE ACCESSORY CABLE TO DO IT

It's nice to have. Small and easy to use. Daytime recording is decent, nighttime recording isn't bad. Lane departure alert is kind of annoying so I turned it off. I'm happy with this purchase.

Bought the dash cam for mainly protection in case of an accident but the video quality is good. It has helped out others in need as well as one time a car got into a hit and run and my camera caught the whole incident. It has an app as well that you can download to manage videos.

Dash cam works great! You can literally put in the memory card, set it and forget it! Haven’t needed to fuss with it at all. It is a nice safety feature all cars should have to protect the driver by showing what really happens in an accident etc...

Very easy to install and set up, with an improved magnetic windshield attachment system. Easy to operate if you pay attention to the instructions, but there are some options so pay attention. Does nice time-lapse videos too.

I have a hard time believing this records 1080p HD footage. I was finally in a incident where this would have saved me a lot of money, and ended up being useless. On my way to work I was hit from the rear (there's another issue: you have to buy another camera if you want both front and rear, and they still wont sync with each other. very annoying) anyway, my camera is facing front and after the person hit me, they went into the right lane, passed me, and turned at the next street at a high speed..clearly not planning to stop to exchange info. Traffic was bad and I couldn't keep up with them so i figured oh well, this is exactly why I got a dash cam! (I was victim to a hit and run driver earlier this year which enticed me to buy one). Got to work and played the video on the app to get his license number since he drove past me after hitting me. And of course, the video is too blurry to read the license plate. Couldn't even make out the badge on the back of the car that says the model. Now I have to pay a couple hundred $ deductible to get my new car repaired and the person that hit me got away scot free. I do not recommend this camera because you will only be able to get peoples plate #'s if they are directly in front of you and even then its not 100% clear. I will be selling this and buying a 4k front and rear dash cam (which unfortunately best buy doesn't sell.)

Doesn't work quite as I expected, but is good if your vehicle doesn't have this feature. It will accept a new memory card and can take still pictures besides video.

Used this dash cam on our 1500 mile camping trip and it was nice to have. Everyone should have one of these for their vehicle. it captures everything on video and will be your eye witness in any accident that you or others may be involved in.

I installed two of these cameras in my Jeep Wrangler and they work excellent. I highly recommend them. Easy to use and easy to hard wire into the electrical system to hide the wires. 5 Stars!
