I have two others of the same make and model that we bought in NC and are working fine. I’m not sure is this last one was from a bad batch but it keeps shutting itself down. I’m returning it to Best Buy tomorrow

Bought this for my husband who is a truck driver and he was very disappointed when he had to pay extra for what he needed to add to it. We took it back and won't be purchasing anymore gps from best buy.

I test both GPS 760 & 780 and i like 760 better it save me gas by it giving me the shortest route instead goin extra miles to get to the location.

Be sure to check the vehicle profile and ensure that all of the information entered is accurate for the vehicle.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used this GPS for a couple months now, overall it is a good navigator system, updates are easy with wifi, accuracy is good, easy to follow, the not so good is the volume is weak, even turned up to max, even worse--at least with mine--the mount sucks to the 10th power, the gps constantly droops and there is no way to tighten it so it holds the unit in position securely. At one point the unit fell out of the ball bearing type joint attachment, I had to pull over to reattach the unit to the mount. Horrible mount design. I recommend but be warned there could be a problem with the mount.

First thing I did Was download the latest map and software updates available and that’s the problem I have been waiting for over 24 hrs for the download to complete and it still shows 20 hrs remaining. I will be returning this to Best Buy.

Posted .You may want to check your internet connection. The map files are large because they contain detailed information. High-speed Internet access is required (not for use with dial-up, mobile hot-spot, or satellite connections).
