    I purchased a Garmin to assist with traveling in unfamiliar areas. Before I purchased it, I asked the sales clerk if it included directions. He assured me it did. When I opened the box, the only directions were three diagrams on a small piece of paper. It wasn't even clear how to mount the device let alone how to use the features. However, the biggest issue was that when I plugged the device into my 12 volt outlet, it began to heat up and so much so that I disconnected it. I brought the device back to Best Buy and the customer service person will mark it as damaged and return to the company. I am supposed to get credit for the purchase and will wait until the September credit bill before coming back to the store if the credit does not appear. There did not seem to be much interest in these devices as Google maps can do much of the same things as the Garmin can.
