It was this way 8 yrs ago and nothing has changed. Stick w/phone and Google maps. Will return this junk ASAP.

I called Garmin and had to send it back. I had to pay $254 for them to send me a new one which they did credit me back but I hope the new one does not give out after one usage, overall it looks like a really decent product but I’m not sure about the speaker. I just got the new one and so far after two times using it it has not broke. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Posted .Glad you contacted support for an exchange. The deposit is only an option for customer who want a replacement prior to sending their unit in. The deposit is then refunded after we receive the returning device. Otherwise should you with to process an exchange without a deposit you simply return the defective device and then a replacement is shipped out to you.
