Had a tactical, with the prior version and it was the best, had almost a 14-30hrs of battery. This version is a step back, battery life that lasts about 7days. I took it on a hike and after about 6hours it would just restart, over and over again. I’ve had the watch for about 40 days and going to return and get the previous model, for sure

Garmin has nailed it with this watch. First, it's for people who forget to charge. I have had it for over a month, and I have only charged it twice. The solar charging feature really adds days to the charging time. Its activity tracker is spot on with steps, floors climbed, and other features. I frequently check the heart rate against a medical-grade device, and it's spot on. It has limited smart features, but for people who want alerts on what is happening on their phone, this is perfect. GPS, activity tracking, weather, bio stats, what more do you want?

Man this watch is really good!! I have and goggle and Samsung watches but this is the best. A little bit of old school mixed with a bit of technology is just amazing. The 21-day lifespan is crazy. You can solar power and plug in is amazing. It gives you what you need without all the extra distractions that come with watch.

First Garmin watch and I’m enjoying it. Light weight, impressive battery life and built in flashlight. Still learning it and finding several features are very useful. It’s my go to watch over the Apple and other watches I have.

Coming from a Samsung Watch 4, the Garmin Instinct 3 has been a fantastic upgrade. I absolutely love this watch for its lightweight design, long battery life, and excellent tracking features. Pros: Lightweight & Comfortable: Feels great on the wrist, even during long hours of wear. Great Battery Life: I've been using this watch in smartwatch mode for four days, and it still has 85% battery left—amazing compared to my previous watch. Crisp Display: Good visibility. I've been using the watch with 20% backlight and have no problem viewing it in sunlight or the dark. Good Sampling Rate: Tracks activities accurately with minimal delay. Sleep Tracking: Provides detailed and insightful sleep data. Torch: A very handy feature. Connectivity with Mobile: I've been using this watch with my Samsung S24, and it syncs perfectly. Cons: Update Process Could Be Better: The watch needed a reset to free up space for the update via Garmin Express, which was disappointing given its price.

This watch has been one of my favorite electronic purchases of late. with the solar and M.I.P Display I can typically get about 30 days of use without a charge. I also love the fact that it's not a touch screen or a whole extra phone on my wrist. The watch gives me just enough information from the weather,to my calories burned and steps taken to the Flash light which absolutely is my favorite feature. The watch is more than a time keeper it's a tool that helps me stay active and productive without being over bearing. This is a great addition to a your life.

I absolutely love this watch. The battery life is incredible—especially with the solar charging. I can go for long periods without worrying about charging it, which makes it perfect for hiking, traveling, and everyday use. The 45mm size is perfect for my wrist. It feels solid and rugged, but not too big or uncomfortable. I like that I can feel it on my wrist without it being heavy. Overall, the watch is extremely reliable, durable, and packed with useful features. It’s definitely worth every dollar. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tough outdoor watch with amazing battery life.

I love this watch. No issues at all. The battery life is excellent, and the solar feature works perfectly for someone who spends a lot of time outdoors. When GPS and Bluetooth are both running, the battery drain is noticeable, but without those, it lasts a long time. The only downside is that the silicone band could be better for a $400 watch.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He’s a firefighter and it was the perfect garmin for him. He loves the flashlight feature and the fact that it’s a sturdy watch he doesn’t have to worry about it possibly breaking on any calls. It’s still stylish to wear outside of work and the sleep tracker has been very helpful.

I upgraded from the Instinct 1 so was used to the original interface as most of the basics are the same. The added features are really cool where they’ve brought some of the training summary info from the more expensive Fenix range. The flashlight I thought was a gimmic has actually been an awesome feature I use way more than I thought I would! Solar charge is a cool feature, typically getting a few weeks per charge and I run every other day.

Very happy with this watch. I bought this as a daily watch after being tired of super smart watches with the intention of tracking steps while also having enough battery for hiking/backpacking. I'm happy to say that this has done all that and more. This has just enough smart features to keep me informed but not too much where I feel overwhelmed. The MIP display looks great and the controls work great without a touchscreen. The torch/flashlight is an added bonus. A few negatives worth mentioning is that the solar really doesn't seem that effective and the breadcrumb mapping is not the best. The solar not being effective is not a concern since I only spend a few days at a time on trail and I typically track my location via my phone for mapping so both of these issues are mitigated for me. Overall I am very happy with this device!

The Garmin Instinct 3 Solar is a rugged, reliable smartwatch built for adventure. Its solar charging extends battery life significantly, making it perfect for long outdoor trips without constant charging. The watch is tough, lightweight, and packed with useful features like GPS, health tracking, and navigation tools. The display is simple but extremely readable in bright sunlight.

I am really enjoying this watch. Moved from a Garmin Vivoactive 5. Obviously, the larger display makes reading so much easier. I have noticed that it keeps much better track of my heart rate than the Vivo 5. Not a fan of silicone bands so I have purchased a canvas band instead that matches the blue coloring. I still have a week's worth of battery life left on the initial charge so that really pleases me. It seems durable but I am pretty easy on my devices. Very comfortable to wear once I replaced the band with a shorter length and more absorbent material.

Bought this for my son. He does cross country and uses this to track his runs and fitness goals. He already had an Apple Watch SE that he retired upon receiving this. He loves this watch. He only has to charge it about once a month, and it does everything that he wants a smart watch do.
