Overall it is the best GPS I've seen. It has an easy setup and updating process. It works very fast when redirecting and the buttons are easy to hit. I've gotten to where I need to go with very little worry with this thing.

We purchased the Garmin for my son for Christmas (early) so that he would be able to get around in the new town that he has moved to for his job. It worked nicely the two weekends that we visited and looked for apartments.

It wa time to replace my old Garmin GPS that I loved for it's ease of use. New Garmin more complicated. It told me there was an accident on the hghway with major delays but then would not give me an alternate route. The ad says it gives land marks for easy turns, I never hear any. Like my old Garmin GPS better.

This Garmin is a basic unit and is fairly easy to use for even a beginner to the GPS system. It is easy to setup with initial settings. It is easy to enter direct data into the screen for example a given address. It is also easy to find sites at random like gas stations and restaurants.

Overall product function fine. When it says to continue on a road I wish it told you how many miles to continue on that road. Got confused when getting off the highway for food; when I went to continue on trip it changed the route. Liked the option of having traffic updates.

I love Garmin over Tom Tom. I had my previous Garmin for 4 years. It finally ran out of space after updating every 6 mo the. So I upgraded. This is a great GPS. Can search most businesses by name too. The keyboard can get frustrating, which is why I've given only 4 stars.

Liked a smaller model I had before. But the reverse is that screen is better which is a plus for those with vision problems. Love the anticipated delivery time. Have had a few routes that had me get off the freeway and then back on. ??????? But not sure this isn't fault of Garmin.

I tried to use it to go to mount rainier national park and it couldnt find it. i was disapointed but it still a good gps. Beside that, it works great, my wife loves it because she uses it a lot to travel for her job.

the garmin is a great item to have and use. it has a five inch screen and it is touch screen. it also has lifetime updates !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use the GPS for both business and pleasure. I find that the GPS is easy to use and something that is much needed. I would be lost without one.

This is a great unit. It finds the satellites fast and takes me to my destinations with ease. It also and re-calculates routes quickly when I make a wrong turn.

I love this GPS, I bought it because the I had was hard to use (i needed a pencil to type address) and it was outdated. This one has lifetime traffic and map updates, not to mention how easy and smooth it is to use specially typing addresses. Highly recommended!!!

I absolutely love this Garmin. The traffic feature gave us alerts of road closures and automatically searched for a different route. I also love the up ahead feature. You can see if there is a gas station, food, lodging, and etc. while driving. A must buy!!!!

I bought this because I wanted a dedicated device for GPS navigation for work. This model has the Canada Maps included which I use. All in all it is a good product and does what you would expect it too.

Good unit, really like the lifetime map updates. The reason for only 4 star is because it doesn't stay charged that long when not plugged in. That's even after it's been charging all night at home, but that's my only complaint. My other Garmin was the same way.

Used if for a few trips and it worked great. Our only problem was trying to use the address search and it would not give us the street name for the city were were going to. They should allow you to pick your city then search for the street you are going to.

I use the 2557 every day for work and it's got me to where I need to be! I also travel throughout the state of GA officiating High School Football and Baseball and it's got me to some pretty remote places. I love it! Much more reliable than using my phone!

the gps is easy to use and easy to understand. the only thing I don't like is when you alter your route it likes to take you the long way back to your route.

I purchase a GPS every two years, I have tried other brands but I like Garmin the best. The maps are easy to follow, software is outstanding, and the unit is away easy to use out of the box.

I found it difficult to program since I am new to these products. there was no direction book. It has a large screen and is easy to follow the street maps etc. the voice is clear and not too intrusive.
