The Garmin GPS has great features including searching nearest restaurants and gas stations. Very good visuals and has been reliable in reporting traffic up ahead and finding new routs.

I would highly recommend this Garmin. It will take you where you want to go with ease of use, once you learn how to use it's features

Purchased since my new vehicle was not equippped with a GPS system. It was easy to install simple to underswtand and met my needs perfectly

My Garman GPS was easy to learn, set up and use. So much so, that I bought a second one. (gps 2557) for my other car. I don't know how I got along without it for all these years.

Should have purchased this product a long time ago. Makes driving so much easier and convenient.

Bought this so that when I travel I can find my way around. Have used it in 3 different cities and worked great. Quite satisfied so far.

Purchased the Garmin after (2) TomToms. The unit works almost like Google Maps. It is very efficient in finding alternate routes with 'yelling' turn around when possible.

can live without it, I use it all the time at home for business and on vacation I take it with me and it always works great for us and always gets us to our destination.

My husband and I are a realtors and they are necessary for our business. My newest Garmin is easy to use and has clear directions. We wouldn't buy any other brand of GPS.

Very easy to use..love the 5" display. Also love the live picture of the intersection. Helps me immensely...Have only used for one trip so far..battery life seems great.

Very good product. I would definitely recommend this item. I really liked upgrading to the larger screen, it helps when glancing at it and driving in an unfamiliar area.

Lifetime maps is awesome. It is light to carry and only needs a light touch to operate. Would recommend for Navigation.

I have always used garmin and this is my 3rd GPS and i find it very gelpful and user friendly. The best feature is its lifetime updating of maps and traffic updates.

I don't like the fact it takes me the shortest distance and not necessarily the fastest. There have been a few places it cant find but yet I find them on my phone map.

I had to go on a 402 mile trip (one way) and the last 5 miles was on back roads and it got me to my destination.

This is much easier to use than I expected. Being technolically challenged, I waited much to long to check it out. I think Garmin has the easiest to use GPS.

A update of the software (ie: map database) took more than 6 hours using a good computer and high speed internet access. Updated 'voice' has some prononciation issues ie: 'Pinecrest' pronounced " pin - e - crest " and 'Parisian' pronounced " par - i -san". Some of the procedures to find a particular address are not intuitive and the manual was not much help. Take every direction with a grain of salt .... at one point after being directed to a bridge (near Evansville Indiana) that had been under (re) construction for weeks, the gps tried to redirect our necessary detour in virtually the opposite direction as our intended direction of travel. A few days later the unit tried to direct us about two miles past our intended destination (clearly identified on the routing application).

It is a great GPS unit. I love how you can change what is showing...a car, feet, a truck.,,All in all a GREAT unit!

works well in California and also works well in Australia with the Australia micro chip. However, it is not as accurate as Google maps for some addresses. For instance my hotel's address in Katoomba, a suburb of Sydney, is not three but it is in Google Maps. As long as I have access to Google maps the two work together well but there are lots of areas in Australia where there is no cell service and there the GPS won't help. It also puts some locations where there don't exist---Imbil north of Brisbane is in the wrong place. But overall a necessary travel item.
