This is my third Garmin GPS. The previous 2 had similar operating systems and I was able to use them with little or no problems. This Garmin has been more difficut for me to use without reference to help. I does get me where I am going. The first destination, it took the long way around and took twice the time it should have. I think I have corrected that setting only time will tell

I LOVE THE BIGGER SCREEN AND ALL OF THE FEATURES ESPECIALLY THE TRAFFIC UPDATES WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ME

Use this for a trip to Massachusetts. Worked very well. The display is bright and can be brighter, the volume level is great. And I've finally found a GPS that alerts you to make a turn before you pass it by....WIN!! Also included the traffic map/updates for lifetime as well as lifetime map updates. Another WIN!! Did not disappoint in any way shape or form.

My old Garmin began blowing fuses after working reliability for several years. The new Garmin has a bigger screen, a "business locator" feature, and automatically warns of traffic congestion with an estimate of the additional travel time (wasn't sure how this feature worked). I am looking forward to the lifetime maps feature since my old Garmin had me driving in an unknown field when travelling a newer road. Too early to judge durability and long-term value.

I spend the best part of my 10 hour days driving from one address to another and I enjoy being able to put in the new address and get verbal guidance to where I'm going so I can keep my eyes on the road. It is also nice when I can't see the address on the houses and I'm informed that the house is right on my left or my right. It helps save me time.

I love using my Garmin, and appreciate their latest updates. It makes inputting addresses easier every time, and usually gets me to where I want to go. I like the screen view of the highways/intersections, but it does not always tell me turns soon enough so that I can get into the correct lanes. I also like that it now comes with Lifetime Map upgrades. Things which are a problem.....it still is not able to find my house even though I have lived here for over 5 years. I have had to replace my Garmin three times within a two year time period because two of the Garmins quit working. One Garmin could never find a satellite and the last one could never maintain power without a cord. It eventually quit turning on after about 6 months.

I got this for my sister after she got her first car. Set-up was easy. What i like most is how simple and easy it is to use the device. Very user friendly. The maps are also reliably accurate. Additional features i love include speed limit indicator and picture snapshots on freeway exits which is very helpful when choosing which lanes to follow.

I use this for business and it's great to see traffic before you get in a mess of traffic! It's easy to use and easy to set up and install.all my customers love it and they like the graphics. And it's also a great price versus paying 3000.00 for a factory installed GPS that is built in to the car! If your looking for a GPS I'd recommend this one!

EVERYTHING WAS VERY EASY TO DO. MAP GUIDANCE IS PERFECT WITH THE PURPLE LINE FOR POSITION. KEPT ME ON SPOT EVEN WHEN I ACCIDENTALLY MADE AN ERROR. WAS PERFECT FOR AREAS LIKE WASHINGTON,DC. AND VIRGINIA. FULL CONFIDENCE WHEN IN STRANGE TERRITORY. MENU IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY. FINDS GAS, FOOD, AND SHOPPING IN A HEARTBEAT. THANKS GARMIN

A life saver when traveling, especially when the weather changes and challenges even the best driver. Also offers construction info, great help. We have had one for ever and bought this one for a gift. After viewing its new features, plan on purchasing one for our own use too.

Daughter did the installation part. After that we were good to go. Took it on a road trip from Ohio to CA. Did not have a real route planned, just places we wanted to see. It was easy and great. Used AAA books for hotels, but punched in their addresses to find the hotels. Felt like we had a talking "TripTick" from the old AAA days.

The GPS works well. The traffic help does not function if you are not in a metropolitan area that supports the traffic information.

Awesome GPS! Easy to use and everything you need & more!

I have used other manufacturers and Garmin is far superior to them all. I really like the split screen when traffic is detected along with giving you how far and duration of delay along with other route options. the pictures of the exits on your route really helps. it also tells you what lane to be in as you come up on your exit or freeway change, very helpful. The lifetime update and lifetime traffic is great also.

Find the GPS easy to use and I especially like the large screen and lifetime map updates

This was a gift for my technically challenged relative, who will remain nameless. In minutes with very little instruction she was able to program her home, work and my address into the device. She was also able to look up the addresses of the locations she was going to visit in Colorado. Though I cannot comment fully on its operation, if this out of the box experience was any indication, this will be a dream for her.

This unit has been a solid performer. I originally purchased a Nuvi 50LM but that model cannot be programmed from a PC using Garmin Basecamp. With the 2557LMT, however, you can create a route using Basecamp on your PC and then download it to the GPS. This allows you to pre-load routes that you know you want to take.

I purchased this unit to upgrade from an older navi unit. It was a great price and is really easy to use. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use. I selected this model for the lifetime map and traffic updates. I love that feature! No more paying for map upgrades. My only complaint is that the screen doesn't seem as bright as other modern electronics. It isn't an LCD type screen.
