||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After wanting to update my 6 year old Garmin I realized I could replace it with a newer larger model with free lifetime map updates, for the same price it would cost to update what I had. Just took a 12hr trip and the GPS performed amazing. The traffic alerts only work in certain areas, but we're accurate when alerted.

Very easy to read. I'm a realtor so I use it daily. Too much technology. I don't use blue tooth and voice recognition gets it wrong 50% of time. I should have bought the model 1 level down without voice recognition. I thought it would save time punching in addresses. I would definitely recommend the model one level below this unit only difference is blue tooth and voice recog.

It is great to use the voice commands when driving so you can really be hands free driving. I would l highly recommend this one. Also the turn by turn instructions are much better than they used to be. I do miss having the multiple things on the screen such as total time to distance, time etc. You can only select one or two things.

This would work but not provide live updates on road blocks and live traffic. It was good but sometime satellites won't pick up and that it would tell you if you took a wrong turn too late.

Other then that it works good.

I would suggest trying another navigation system, not too happy with this one.

Posted .Sorry for any issues you encountered with the nüvi 2597. The device may require some software update to help with the Bluetooth. You can down Garmin Express to your PC or Mac computer at www.garmin.com/express. The Garmin Express program is used to update maps and system software.

Easily get where you want to go
