I've always had Garmin GPS units so I knew what to expect from this one. I liked how easy the buttons are to select and quick transitions between pages. My only complaint is that I don't know to make the traffic updates work. I've only spent a short amount of time trying to figure it out and as that wasn't the reason I bought the unit, it doesn't reflect my rating. Overall, continued success from Garmin.

The voice command option is a nice feature to use while you are driving however it doesn't usually get the place you are looking for on the first try.

I was very pleased with this GPS. it is much easier to use than TomTom which I used to have. you can't go wrong with Garmin.

I bought this for my husband when he was driving a truck - worked great - small, easy to carry and easy to use - we love it!

I am very happy with my GPS purchase it has turn by turn navigation and lifetime map updates. It is very easy to set up and use.

Works great every time I use it. Bought a second one for my son. We both love them. Would buy again and recommend.

I have done the updates and the Garmin doesn't know major streets in the area, The reason I purchased it is to help me navigate in my ever growing community. I have tried it on places I know how to find and the directions take me out of the way to get where I want to go. I was late to a funeral because it could not tell me how to get to one of the major roads in a neighboring town. How can I trust it to help me find a location out of state?

Enjoy the larger screen than the previous one I had. Easy to see and read. The exit lane display is a very handy element also.

We have a built in GPS in one of our cars and I like this Garmin-nuvi 2597 LMT better.

Great GPS unit with lifetime maps and traffic! The best feature is the lane guidance when you are approaching any difficult turns and intersections.

The best thing about this GPS is how responsive its screen is. No need to double tap as my old Tomtom. The graphics are pretty awesome. The voice directions let you know important landmarks in the road so you can be aware when to turn. The worse thing is that it was kind of difficult trying to figure out how to download new voices for this nuvi initially. Also, the Bluetooth connection with the android app for my S4 drops sometimes without a good reason.

Bought this GPS for our trip to Italy and loaded the Europe Maps (they cost $30 more than Italy/Greece and gives all the countries we will be traveling to). Once we started out on the trip everything was available and very accurate. We missed a turn and the alternate route was fun but could be nerve racking to those without a spirit of adventure (most GPS's do this). Everything we needed was available, made traveling a breeze. Free US map updates is good, and I went ahead and bought the extended warranty.

Nothing to fancy here. Basic GPS with some nice features. Gets you from Point A to Point B with no issues. So I can't really complain.

I went to Florida and all around the south, and it was like I had lived there for years.

I purchased this product to use on vacation because my older Garmin with lifetime traffic needed updated. It was going to cost almost as much to update the maps as to purchase a new one. Unfortunately the newer Garmin's traffic feature doesn't always work. We received many messages on our trip that the power cord was not the correct cord for traffic. One time the feature worked, the next we received the message. Vert disappointed.

This GPS does everything I need it to do and more. My wife liked it so much she took it for herself. I now have to buy another.

I enjoy that it gives advance notice before your turn. It also recalculates when you make a wrong turn with out any extra conversation.

It is a good GPS, but it just simply will not repeat the correct address that I speak and give it. Example- I speak, 3544 county road 1024. It will say..."Did you say, 6932 chapel hill? I speak clear and precise, and her reply is as dumb as a bag of hammers. Her replies are FAR off, not even one number or word is correct. I do love this GPS. Please help me, and what should I do?

This Garmin was a replacement for an older Garmin. The ability to have lifetime map and traffic updates is great.
