    This is an upgrade from the Nuvi 1490 for me. I like everything about the new one: especially the lifetime map upgrade. What also is very nice is the bluetooth phone app that can send locations from the smartphone to the 2597. However, there is less contrast on the screen - I could read the text on the older 1490 wearing sunglasses but cannot on the newer 2597.
