    I got this because it was four years newer than my old one, I liked the voice activation, the real-time traffic feature, and the lifetime maps. First, my old Garmin always found the fastest route, while this new one seems to have major issues with this, even though that is it's sole purpose. I drive past an exit on the way to work everybody and it sheds five minutes when it finally realized I'm going to the next one. Second, the voice activation only works if it is completely silent in my car and I'm taking like Samuel L. Jackson. HAVEN'T YOU SEEN ANY OF MY MOVIES, THIS IS HOW I TALK! Third, the real time traffic only works in a few major metropolitan areas. So, only for .01% of the time when I'm traveling. Lastly, yes lifetime maps is great, but I wish I had saved the large expense on this and just updated the maps on my old one for $110 less.

    we are trying to see if garmin tech people can solve some of the issues we are having since I feel that for the price and being a much newer model than our old tom tom it should be able to do those functions and more.
