This is an excellent GPS. The biggest problem is that there are no directions inside the box except putting it on the window and turning it on. It would be nice if there were detailed directions since this unit has much to offer and use.

Inexpensive. Great value for the money. The instructions are simple and easy to understand. The volume can turn up really really loud. The device is small and very easy to conceal.

As a home health nurse I spend my days driving to new places everyday. This GPS has helped me find my way there and back each day. The foursquare app is nice to find food on the road too.

I went through all the functions of this gps and found it very easy to use. The mapping update was flawless. The accuracy of road identification was much better than the previous two gps's I've had. Love the voice command.function.

Love the features of the wide screen, voice, speed limits, current speed, arrival time, notification of construction issues and high traffic, and especially lifetime maps.

Having owned several Garmin gps devices in the past, all providing reliable, long-lasting service, this has been, by far, my favorite Garmin nuvi to date. The added features of the 2689LMT, like bluetooth, 6" display/resolution and especially the ability to speak and search for directions (as well as change system settings like volume, brightness) is a wonderful feature. I never have to type or use the actual keyboard, all voice-controlled commands. A huge plus and extremely convenient, and safer. Highly recommend!

Purchased this device to replace a Garmin that was stolen from my vehicle. This is my 5th Garmin product and I have been very satisfied with each of them. The only thing I do not like is that minor roadways are not always displayed on the map making it easy to miss a turn. This seems to be speed dependent (e.g. when driving 55 the road will not show on the map, but if you slow down enough it will).

This is a replacement for a previous Garmin my son broke. As always, Garmin has been a reliable product and this one lives up to the standard. The 6 inch screen is easy for my wife to view as she drives. She loves the unit.

The only negative is that it doesn't have a long battery life so needs to stay plugged in. Knowing this after the fact I would have gotten a different model. Long travel with multiple items to charge it became tough.

Many would find this product great. My needs are different, and so I rate it according to my needs. First, I wanted more of a map view than a step by step view. Switching from the what's just ahead to the map view is a bit tough. Second, the orientation continuously changes depending on the direction you are driving. I would prefer a system where north was always indicated on the unit. Third, and most others wouod probably find this the weakest pojnt, the unit more or less needs to be continuously hooked up to a power source. I have ni idea if there are reasonable fixes for any of these things that bother me. I am the type of driver that can look at a map, once i know where I am at, and get to my destination once I see the map. In some sense, a lot of directions slow me down. For those with a poor sense if direction, I am sure this is a great thing to have. I like it, dont want to return it, but a GPS system is not ideal for my mode of getting from A to B.

This GPS has the ease of use that is absolutely essential for those of us who are not "Tech Savvy". I have the Garmin 2689, a huge move up from the 1300. Gave a 2689 to my son for Christmas. Well worth the cost!

Being that I'm getting a little older the displace screen is large enough to see all the directions and was able to connect to my trucks blue tooth. Great device.

I have used Garmin GPS units for more than 10 years, but this one is my all time favorite. I really like the bright, clear screen; the way this unit uses real world navigation terms and most of all, the voice command.

this was an update for me and did not disappoint. Easy to program your destination and it gives different routes to choose from. haven't used the blue tooth option yet, but hopefully that will be just as easy.

I drive around 4000 miles a month and am always lost. This GPS does every thing it is supposed to do and more. Easily finds addresses. Has recent places so you are not constantly typing the same address over and over. The photo guidance makes it easy to know what exit or laNE to be in and the speedometer is a nice feature. You always know the speed limit and are alerted to school zones and speed traps.

This Garmin nuvi is a great GPS. It's graphics are are easy to see, and its directions are right on the mark. I use this on my job everyday, and it always gets me to my appointments without delay.

Crisp and clear screen is easy to see in all light. Even sunny days.

After doing the research on this and other items, we selected this electronic tool for our 2015 Kia Soul. Portable and easy to learn. Highly functional and meets our needs. Would purchase again.

This GPS unit is great! Garmin is well-known as the leader in this industry and this unit shows why. It has a 6 inch screen that is easy to scan while driving and it has lifetime map upgrades.

This was my first portable GPS unit and it worked fantastic. I had a long road trip coming up to the east coast and felt it would help. I don't know what I would have done without this unit.
