I brought this recently and use it daily.So far it works as designed,form factor is nice and features are pretty good.Subscribed to poi-factory camera alerts and it is even better now.I wish the correction of speed limit feature which is there in other models is available on this unit also.I noticed some speed limit differences while driving in dallas area.Hope garmin corrects this.Other than this its been great for me

Have had it for over 3 months and it works great. Voice command works better than I rxpected.

I've had a great experience with this unit. It met all my expectations. Provides excellent real world directions such as "turn at the next gas station" or "the location is on the left after the church." This is quite pleasant and easier to follow that solely info on street names. Reroutes quickly. Maps are readable and aesthetically pleasing. Very clear and attractive display. The magnetic powered mount is superb and easy to use - takes al the irritation out of putting the device on and off the windshield mount. Tons of features.

I have an older Garmin that I've had for years. I drive to different areas in and around Los Angeles, Ca. My newer Garmin, undoubtedly, is a step above the older unit. With all of the newer features like lane assist, live-traffic and lifetime maps, all included in the original purchase price, I wouldn't be able to navigate, "Almost", stress free. I can honestly say, this device is worth every penny. Thank you Garmin

Very good GPS so far. Nice features with built in alerts for school zones etc. Disappointed that no alerts for safety cameras. My last GPS I had to purchase that update. That update is not compatible with this model. Design and display is good. Display uses the same gorilla glass like cell phones so it can be scratched. I recommend a screen protector. And just like a cell phone don't drop it. it will break. Company needs to make cases to protect it. A lot of carrying cases are out there but no protector cases.

I have been putting off purchasing one of these and was just relying on my phone. There have been a couple of times where the phone didn't give me good directions and I ended up lost. My son's gave me the Garmin for Christmas. I've used it several times and have been impressed. I loved the fact that it told me to use an unpaved road which turned out to be a great shortcut. I would highly recommend this product.

I purchased this to replace a very old Magellan and could not be happier. I have taken a few 3-4 hour trips with this GPS so far. The screen is beautiful, finds points of interest very quickly, connects to satellites super fast, voice command has worked flawlessly for me, the lane guidance is a life saver in an unfamiliar city along with a very accurate picture of intersections, traffic report is very accurate.

I love this navigator. It looks good, the magnetic base holds it securely to my window, the directions are given in plenty of time before a turn and include street names. The touch-screen is so easy to use compared to older Garmin models which were difficult to type into. I am missing several features though: there is only ONE voice in English who will tell me detailed directions. There are no voices in British or Australian accents (which was always fun) and there are NO male voices. There are plenty of other languages, which I do not need on a daily basis like Mandarin, Korean, French, and many others. This is not a value-add for me. Also, although Garmin fixed their poorly designed Traffic cord, they didn't fix it all the way. There is still a gravitational pull on the mini-USB plug by the enormous 10 foot long (I'm exaggerating) cord to plug into a utility outlet. I do not understand this at all. Lastly, the navigator is delicate- meaning if i dropped it I believe it would break. it would definitely get scratched if I put it directly into my purse without a case. However, I bought a simple small case which works just fine to protect it. Overall, I absolutely LOVE this Garmin - it's the best one yet!

Without a doubt, the Garmin 3597LMTHD is the best GPS I have ever had. I am a Taxi driver in a town that has no grid system to speak of and the streets change names mid-block in many places, so I put it to the test everyday. It has not let me down yet. It not only gets me to the right block it takes me right to the driveway. The voice navigation is easy to use and sounds like a real person. An added awesome feature is the Smartphone Link (Bluetooth) that allows me to answer my phone with the GPS. One touch and your talking through the Garmin itself allowing you to keep you eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. it keeps a record of where I have been as well It also has Live traffic-camera images, weather, and parking.

My second "Garmin" Wonderful Instrument, very accurate great features. It works perfectly. I am impressed with it,and just love it.

Bought this product because my previous Garmin fell off my windshield and the screen cracked. I have been very happy with the unit and the added features my older model didn't have. I would definitely buy again.

I purchased this new Garmin while on a trip just after my old Garmin died and have been very pleased with the ease of use, the size of the screen and the current accuracy.

I like the features but you can't park the car and leave the unit in the sun or it will get very hot, because of the metal case. a composite body would make more sense for something that is designed to sit in the sun. The new magnetic mount makes it easy to remove and return to the mount which you have to do all the time. Mine has frozen up because it has gotten too hot when I left it in the window . You then have to turn it off and reboot it back up, I don't know how many times I'll be able to do that and have it to continue to work. The bluetooth works well and paired up easily with my iPhone right away. Pricey, you pay a lot to get a couple of special features.

My older model worked fine but I bought this because I wanted the Live Traffic and Voice Command features. Voice Command works sporadically in that it does't always recognize names verbally so I still to pull over and type in. The Live Traffic Feature apparently still has to be purchased separately and I have to sync it daily with my smartphone. But it's been 100% accurate, gives the outdoor temp on the screen, voice commands are good and an improvement over the last model; e.g., it will say go left at the end of the road-an advantage because street sign names are not always visible. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Love the ability to change the voice; lifetime maps, updates, and traffic; up to date speed limits (hate getting on a road and not know what the speed limit is)

This Garmin is great. The mounting bracket is the easiest I have used and stays in place. The fact that the GPS mounts to the suction plate by magnets is a real plus...so easy to take it down when you stop to eat and not leave it in plain sight. The accuracy is spot on! A good investment.

I use my garmin for work, it makes my day run a lot smoother. I don't ever have to worry about not finding a customers address.

Love the brightness and contrast of the screen. Also, although I was skeptical at first, the magnetic holder is pretty awesome. Just get it close and it grabs the unit to a perfect connection every time.

this gps is very good. easy to use. location is updated but little but expensive.

This new GPS by Garmin is by far the easiest to use and set up. the voice activation is a great feature. The advance notice and lane guidence is spot on. The magnet mount is by far the easiest to set up, their is no trying to snap it in, just get it near the mount and it does the rest.
