Nice device with nice features. Lane Assist is pretty good. LMT is very helpful. It could have been less expensive though. There is no pedestrian mode. Battery drains fast. What I really didn't like about this device is that it was finding it difficult to locate its position properly in New York downtown when there were tall buildings around. Overall, it's a pretty good GPS to have.

The best GPS I have owned. This nuvi 3597LMTHD is ready to use right out of the box. The new magnetic mount make it sinple to attach to the various mounting devices. The ability to additional memory means that it'll be useful for years to come. The HD display is sharp and brilliant even in intense sunlight.

This GPS far exceeded my expectations! We bought a GPS about 8 years ago and hated that we had to pay to have new maps loaded. This new one? WOW! Times have definitely changed for the better! The voice, the picture clarity, the directions itself is so much better. Not to mention how easy it is to use.

This GPS does everything I had hoped and more. It will really come in handy the next trip we take.

I absolutely love how it has voice activation and you can use it touch free. It is so much safer and it is so much fun to use. I love that it has lifetime updates and is such a sleek shape. The option to remove it just from the base is great too.

I own a new 2012 Traverse with a built-in navigation system. I also own several Garmin GPS's. Hands down this unit is far superior to the unit that is offered as an option in my new car. I really enjoy the voice command feature and the fact that it zooms in and out as traffic conditions dictate.

Bought this gps when it was on sale as a deal of the day. Its just what i was looking for, it is thin and it has the lifetime updates.

This is a great gps. Screen clarity is great, easy to use. This is very minor, but I wish it had a man's voice option. It only offers two female voices. That's not that important to me. I really like it and map is spot on. I do have a little trouble saving locations. I never can remember how to do it. That is user error, not system. I recommend this gps

We replaced a previous Garmin GPS we had under warranty with this model (due an issue with the suction cup being discontinued). We have been completely happy with this Garmin GPS. This GPS is great option when on long road trips when we don't want to use our wireless data using Google Maps or Mapquest.

This new Garmin has made driving much easier. It is easy to see and easy to search/identify gas stations, restaurants, rest stops, etc. while on a trip. It is also very helpful knowing when to turn in cities and the voice is high quality and can be very loud if necessary.

This Garmin GPS is easy to use & very reliable. The only "snag" that has occured is that you choose between fastest route & shortest route. At times fastest route puts you on 2 lane roads that you might not want to be on,

Great unit. As a road warrior GPS is vital. This has the most comprehensive set of features in any GPS I have ever used. Everything from the magnetic mount to the iPhone app that interfaces to it are very well thought out. It boots up in a fraction of the time that my old Garmin did. Since Google maps no longer supports GPS units, the iPhone app is really cool since the onboard database on any GPS always lacks some addresses. The thing that I was frustrated about was that the Best Buy sales rep knew nothing about the unit. The only reason I discovered this unit was from doing my own research on the Internet. Bottom line is this is the last GPS I will ever buy.

Excellent GPS. I have owned several Garmins over the years and this is the best one I have owned. The only negatives are the volume is a little low (traffic noise can drown it out on occasion) and the extra device that sticks onto the back in order for it to be attached to the post that stickls to the windshield. Just another item to carry.

Love the thing.gives instructions shows all construction on the highway you choose.
