Like the 3D and phone app just look up address and go

For 2 years, I've been using the Garmin nuvi 1490 LMT for my job. I decided to get this new, improved model because of the company's write-up in an email. I'm SOOOO glad that I did! :) This newer model is similar to the old one which helps with setting it up. But the best feature is a split screen when coming to intersections or turn-offs from highways - much better, and very helpful!! The connector to the car's power-source is also much better: I just turn the GPS on, plug the cord into the newly-designed adapter, and I'm off. If you need a reliable, up-to-date GPS, get this one - you definitely won't be sorry :)

The GPS is awesome... Very happy with the travel data and directions... Saves time with traffic issues ahead... Makes recommendations to save time and is very accurate.

I brought this GPS to use on my vacation, and it has not disappointed, it is very accurate with traffic avoidance that saved me countless time spent in traffic.

Garmin has always been ahead of the installed nag systems in the new cars. I have a Porsche, BMW and new Ford and still real Garmin is better than the built ins.

We think this is the most advanced GPS with all of the functions & features we want & need! We love Garmin priducts!

I reviewed a whole range of GPS devices for a vehicle which does not have any GPS system. This was rated the best and having used it for only one month I am very impressed with all of the features. I agree that this is the best stand alone device. I have used a wide variety of GPS devices. The feature I like the best is the traffic alert. Living in NYC this is very important for getting around the deadlocks.

I liked the 3D view ability, 2-screen and, unlimited access to real time maps and real time traffic information.

I love the thin design and Bluetooth capability. But it is a bit expensive for the general GPS features. It would be great if it had voice search on it.

From the time I opened the box, I was impressed. I really like the fact that I can send an address from my phone to the unit (utilizing a free Garmin app).

It has everything a commuter will need. The best part is it will give you traffic updates and reroute for a faster travel time. It also suggests which lane to take when exiting the freeway. That is so great!!!

If your looking for a great GPS, this model is not the cheapest but it does everything you would want from a GPS!

This is my first GPS. Was alot to learn and getting use to being I got the highest one. I have Homer for my voice, and it's funny, just wish it had more things to say. I also bought the ECO plug-in to be able to watch my car specs and fuel economy and try to get the best mileage out of the car. The price is alittle high, but with all it does as long as the quality is there I am okay with it.They should of included the ECO plug in with the price not add another $100.00 bucks to the unit. I am very happy though. Used it on my first drive to North Dakota and it worked great. Very happy.

There are a lot of navigating options. Happy with my choice, works well and size of screen is easy to read

This is my fourth Garmin GPS, but this time they have outdone themselves. Finally the pressure touch screen is gone, replace by a beautiful capactive touch screen with HD resolution. Garmin ALWAYS outdoes the competition with a better interface and moreaccurate maps. The Eco module that hooks into my cars OBD2 connector was a great option giving me features that I never dreamed a GPS could ever do. The warnings about approaching a school zone are big help. I am in a non traffic warning area so I have not been able to use that feature, but not all areas support it yet.

I drive infrequently, always in (usually unfamiliar) rental cars. The Garmin has freed me from relying upon another person to act as "navigator" when I am on unfamiliar roads, while allowing me to concentrate upon driving and staying aware of road conditions without having to divert my attention to reading a map. At the same time, Garmin is flexible enough to compute a new route if I should deviate from the one that it is prescribing. The combination of large maps and spoken directions is exactly what I need. The only problem that I have found is that the indicator on the map does not always reflect the real position of the car, especially in large, congested cities with many tall buildings.

This is one of the great looking GPS made my Garmin. Everything is good about this GPS except sometimes it takes me to a longer than the usual.

very easy to use . My wife feels comfortable using it to get around in unfamiliar towns. Very easy to use and fun with different objects for vehicles

I love my new GPS. It's very easy to use and the screen is like having a flat screen tv in the car.
