Regarding your device's lack of a detour feature, it does have this feature and provides more options. Your device will give you the option to "Detour by Distance" and "Detour by Road".** Please keep in mind these options will only be available if your device is in an active route to a destination. Use the steps below to get to the two options for detouring.
1. enter in a destination
2. ensure you are on the map (the "View Map") screen
3. press the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the bottom right corner
4. press "Change Route" and there you will see the two options.
Regarding the device's slow performance, we are sorry this is occurring. We would suggest that you ensure your device's software is current. Please use Garmin Express to update the software on your device. Garmin Express can be downloaded from the following webpage - www.garmin.com/express.
