The earlier design allowed one to quickly remove the Garmin from the base. This new design requires one to unplug and dismantle the unit from the base every time.

Not as responsive as I'd like. Some of the directions are announced when it's too late to respond.

Needed this for travel outside of the US, didn't realize you have to purchase additional maps for travel to Alaska. Drove through Canada and no support for the device other than having to purchase the additional maps which was going to cost more than the unit itself. Ended up just using the Google maps app on my phone which worked great!

Its an ok system. Even with updates sometimes doesn't show directions

I purchase the mini system, but it's to big for the space when being placed.

Decent gps quite different then past models, more difficult to use

This is a 5 inch GPS. Set up is easy, straight from the box. It finds satellites quickly. It is nice that maps can be updated any time for free. It is small to be installed in any car, and transfer from car to car is quick and easy.

At first it was good but after 1 yr of every day use it takes almost 15 minutes to get it turned on and if i hit a bump it switches screens

I bought this product based on the great reviews, I am not happy with it at all. This product is not friendly to use.

Don't allow you to punch in intersections!!This is very odd not to have intersection button!!

Bought this product as a replacement for my aging old GPS which was not having a life time map update. Tested this with couple of known routes which the old GPS used to show always a route which was never possible. Till now works good and great companion for long drive.

This is an excellent GPS, it has lifetime map updates(which is very important when it comes to GPS products) , I also like the fact that it comes with a vehicle power cable and a vehicle suction cup mount and I can keep it stable and secure so when I'm driving I can focus on the road and not worry about this GPS running out of power or falling down, and it does what it suppose to do. The screen size is just right for a GPS.

When you open the box, you see "Welcome, This product is ready to use." Not True. No where is it stated on the simple pictorial instruction sheet, or even in the downloadable owner's manual that you need to allow about 5 hours of the unit being plugged into your computer to obtain sufficient initial charging of the lithium battery for the unit to actually work. Garmin, please add that, and you get 5 stars.

Great device, got one myself, went back and bought another one for my son. HOWEVER, for the 3rd time now Best Buy charged me full price on an item that is cheaper online. You have to tell the cashier you want them to price match themselves. Yes, and then the cashier had to user her cellphone to check the online price and then she had to call a manager to over ride the original price. Meanwhile customers piled up in the line behind me. IN ORDER TO PRICE MATCH THEIR OWN PRICE. This is pitiful. Buyer beware. This was a $35 price difference. It allowed me to buy the optional dash mount device and still be below the listed price.

Big clear screen and the touchscreen works very nicely. When going through an exit or turn off a first person view pops up helping in uncertain turning situations. Lifetime maps and traffic updates are included by a download is needed which is my only hiccup with the item. Like it so much I bought one for my Dad as well.

I bought it on Black Friday. It is one of the best and cheapest GPS. Lifetime map update and backup camera. I will install backup camera without cable.

I have another Garmin with a little smaller screen. I like this one better of course, it has a larger screen and new version. I do not have any issue with this one. Updates are fine.
