very easy to use both visual and without taking your eyes off the road

For those who do not use their smart phones this is a great safe hands free device

The GPS that I have is new and improved, and it is beneficial whenever I travel.

I've had a Garmin Nuvi 1300 for years. This Nuvi 57LM was an upgrade. I like the free map updates and the lane assist feature. The price was great (on sale) and the larger screen is a plus.

This replaced another Garmin GPS that I had for 5 years. I like this one much more, especially the thin power cord. The other bulky power cord did not roll up well to be put away and in the end was not reliable for charging the GPS. The lane assist feature is very useful, my old GPS did not have it and I occasionally took the wrong exit when two were close together or off of the same exit ramp. It has been accurate and guided me through a recent trip of over 2,400 miles through several states. The suction on the base seems to have been improved as well.

Two issues : Time not shown on display I really needed that Only 2 choices of voice. It won't turn off or clear the route. When I try a new route it asks do I want to add to current? Um, no Love that it tells me ETA A lot of other options I like.

As I am new to this area, this product is helping me for drive.

easy to use and features on this model were exactly what we needed for our recent trip. gas and restaurants coming up was nice feature. sorting with no toll roads. I would recommend if you don't want to burn up all you data on your phones.

I had an emergency in Phoenix (a city I had never been to) when I was carrying my bag and my older Garmin GPS to the car - the GPS slipped out of my arms, landed flat on the ground and lost access to loaded maps. So I found a Best Buy and from recommendations of a clerk, bought this GPS. It was easy to load the destinations I needed. And I was impressed by the larger screen, the display that showed a great deal more detail of exits, and the setting that allow me to see gas stations and food outlets. The only thing I disliked about this GPS compared to my old one, was the ability to lock the screen that could only be opened using a password (thereby protecting you "home" location) - I was told by customer service that they no longer provide that feature. So I no longer keep that location on my GPS.

my husband use it for travel work very accurate easy to use

it works like it's supposed to. not many bells and whistles, but that's the way i want it. i can set my destination,( before i start driving), and go. easy to read, clear voice. i'm satisfied.

I really cannot find any issue with this product. It picks up satellite very easily and I have found my location all but once because it was a new hotel. Great size, sound, and the touch screen works great. Holds a good charge.

This product did what I expected to get from this type of item. It is nice to have Life time updates for this product. Easy to use Garmin express software to update maps. I am going to Canada and had to purchase additional Canada Maps for this unit.

Somewhat difficult to figure out, even as an experienced Garmin owner, but well worth the effort. The split screen, verbal instructions, and lane markers were very helpful in LA traffic. Detours for traffic slow downs also a definite plus. Very happy with this purchase. Only complaint is no clear directions.
