This gps doesnt tell you where to turn or anything.

I returned item because it was very difficult to use

Itś been beneficial in many ways. Great product. It has been beneficial for the job and personal use. I have used it throughout the state and it is updated and state of the art product.

I've been using this model since 2016, and with regular free updates, it's been 99% accurate in driving all around the Continental U.S. Once in a while bad input data from whoever updated it places a business on the wrong side of the road, I like I can see the exit illustrated prior to my exit, especially when traffic is busy. I didn't recommend this new because this model is 6 years old, which is ancient as technology goes. You probably can't buy it new in the box anymore. This review is only good if you buy this used or inherit it. This review could be used to demonstrate reliability on subsequent newer Garmin models.

After my old Garmin 260W finally died, a friend gave me a TomTom XLIQ, which he said he liked very much. But my wife and I found it so much more frustrating to program and use that it caused us many tense moments on the road. So when BestBuy put the 57LM on sale, we jumped at it (and it even cost much less than the 260W did 8 years ago!) . We find it AWESOME, and even easier to program than the 260W. And the Real Direction feature gives great turn directions without taking your eyes off the road. If you want calm and uneventful trips, this impressive GPS will get you there with ease.

This GPS system has numerous extra features that are so helpful when traveling. Have used it several times with no issues. Would highly recommend this product.

Easy to use, great size for my car windshield. We were traveling to Memphis & vs moving my boyfriends back and to we invested in one for me. I love it!!

It would have been nice if it came with an instruction manual. If you want one you can download it from Garmin's web site and then print it yourself assuming you have a computer and printer. I found that the distance it tells you from where you are suppose to turn is off by about a 100 feet, That is to much and doesn't give you enough time to make the turn ETC. Otherwise it is a good product and I like the Garmin real directions feature that tells you what landmark or store ETC is near where you have to make a decision. I give it a qualified recommendation for a friend.

Rather than burn your data and your phone; Garmin still beats them all with their Nuvi series of GPS units. The 57LM has everything I need and more at an affordable pricepoint point. And with Lifetime Map upgrades it is simply a no brainer purchase. I have been using it for several weeks and it has provided flawless performance. I would highly recommend this unit.

i just love it. It shows you the exact same signs and routes so you know when to go right, for example. Keep in mind that you cannot see the traffic with this one.

For the price, this garmin does all that I need. Easy to use and works fine.

I already have a Garmin Nuvi 1300 series GPS, but for this one , I have to purchase a map update when needed. I called Garmin to do just that, & spoke with a very informative & helpful gentleman. I asked him a bunch of questions & decided it would be better for me to purchase one that had free map updates. I went to Best Buy to pick it up for a road trip the next day to SC. It worked great , once I played with it a while & figured it out a little, but it would have been nice had the GPS unit come with a Quick Start Manual in the box ,like my other GPS did. I called Garmin to see about the manual & she said she could e mail it to me, but I could not print it out at that time, so I asked her to send it to me in the mail. she very nicely did, but of course I didn't get it until after I got back. The actual unit I like very much, it helped me navigate a quicker route to my destination, that my other GPS had me driving in nowhere land, because it was not updated, & roads & exits etc. change all the time. and this was a newer route. Thank you

With with many GPS systems being very expensive it was great to find one that competes and delivers amongst those more expensive. It's very easy to set up and it's very durable. It comes with a mount that's difficult to stay mounted on my dash but fits perfectly on my window, so if you would like to mount it on your dash I would recommend buying another mount.

We purchased this to replace on older Garmin model. My husband drives for UPS and gets put on many different routes. These have been lifesavers for him! The older model still works and we recently moved so I now have that model to assist me in our new area. Garmin makes great GPS products!

I wanted to get something that I could bring with me on trip and use in the rental cars. This is a great option -- it's light and well priced. Works great!

Garmin has been a trusted brand for me and my family for many years. So when it came time to replace the old one after it died, it was a no brainer. The lifetime maps are a great selling point

This was exactly what I needed as I am in the car for work on a daily basis. It is safer than using my cell phone for directions. Very easy to use and great quality.

I like the slightly screen and keypad than my last Garmin. I had problems with my last Garmin map updates. I hope this will not be the case with this one.

My husband travels a lot for work and was in need of a navigation device. He is quite pleased with this purchase and has had no problems thus far
