Disappointment on my first trip.

My previous unit, about fifteen years old, finally proved to be no longer good, so I went to Best Buy and bought the one that fitted me best. The first thing I did was to download an update of maps. The download reported to be successful. I then looked for a Europe map to download, but found none. I turned on the unit and it asked me for a country. I chose Spain an a Madrid map popped up. Since the download had taken over two hours to complete, I figured that the Europe maps had also been downloaded. To my great disappointment, when I tried to use my GPS in northern Spain, the maps were not there and I had to cancel further travel. Upon my return I shall visit the store for a claim.

To see what mapping is currently being read by the nüvi 57LM, press Settings> Map & Vehicle> myMaps. From this screen, the installed mapping can be enabled or disabled.
If the mapping is missing, they can be re-downloaded from your myGarmin account (http://mygarmin.com).
