It's user friendly, easy to use. Great size screen.

Bought this unit after much research and replacement for Magellan Smart GPS. Majority of the customers reviews were very positive. What I like about the unit: brightness and clarity of the display. Better or more accurate maps then Magellan. App works with iPhone to communicate with GPS. Able to change the location pointer from the arrow to many different things like car, truck, beach ball, and ect. Voice commands work extremely well. What I don't like or could be better: can't adjust the speedometer to alert you when going over the posted speed limit. Every time you go 1 mph over it starts alerting you. Using Bluetooth for making or receiving calls could be improved. The speaker doesn't produce a good sound. The mounting bracket needs improved. Find GPS is difficult to remove and install from bracket. Haven't got use to the traffic option. Overall I really like this unit.

Excellent product. This is the best quality GPS product I have seen or used. The screen is so clear. You can read it in any light. The updates for life is a tremendous plus.

This is my third Garmin over many years. I love them! Having said that, this one has a large crystal clear screen for easy viewing. But they have added so many extra instructions it is driving me crazy!! Can't seem to shut them off!! Slows down the process so much!! Great if you have never used one of their products before but for the experienced Garmin user, it is extremely annoying!

I bought this GPS to replace an older one without lifetime maps. The 6 inch screen seems to be a perfect size and it's clarity is great. Others stated that there is some screen reflection and I agree, but the quality of the screen balances that problem somewhat. I don't find all of its options too confusing and it's fairly simple to use. All in all, this is a quality Garmin product.

This is a very adequate gps. There were a few times in heavy traffic on freeways by San Diego that I would have liked a little more notice for lane changes, but the pictures helped me in those cases. I have not tried the voice commands yet, but will soon

This product is a replacement for a Garman under the Best Buy extended service plan. Could have not ask for better or quicker service. Reason why I buy all my electronic products at Best Buy! The Garman is a great product and works great.

I've been using Garmin products for at least the last ten years and have owned 5 different GPS items. The 2689 is by far the most advanced and capable unit for me. I especially like the lane change features and the forward compatibility of lifetime maps and traffic updates. Also enjoy the Foursquare application.

This Garmin novi GPS does everything it promised with a good sized screen.

I'm so happy I purchased this Garmin instead of borrowing friends and family's. This Garmin is wonderful when you come to a busy ramp it shows you what lane to be in, and what the sign looks like. I wish we would have bought it long ago.

I'm very impressed with the capability of this item, never missed a turn even in the smallest place in Mexico. I bought just because we went to a trip over there and it's helped me tremendously

I am very happy with this GPS. The lane assist is a great feature that makes you aware of turns and what lane to be in well in advance. It has a bigger screen which is well worth the extra money. I highly recommend this product.

I've been using this item for almost a month now. The screen is very sharp and clear, one of the sharpest I've seen. The gps works excellent and I installed a Garmin wireless backup camera that make this screen even a better deal since I didn't have to deal with wiring to this device.

Used this on a recent 1200 mile trip, and still getting used to the interface. Voice command feature is nice, but takes a few tries for the system to recognize the desired address. Doesn't seem to suggest or allow alternate routing if desired, but that may just be my lack of familiarity with the system. Overall, provides lots of helpful information.

One thing I love about TomTom and Garmin gps systems, they have fast response to typing and locating.Other brands stall, freeze, or you have to type slow. This model can handle fast typing, lets you know when you are entering a school zone, has "fousquare" (whatever that is),and other apps. Shiny / sturdy design. Only con is the charging cable goes right into the device, not the charging cup, so eventually the outlet may become loose like with cell phones - get the warranty. Im an ex TOMTOM user.

the screen is crisp and easy to read,accurate most of the time

I use this gps every day. The speedometer on my H2 Hummer hasn't worked in years. That was the main reason I bought this unit was for the speedometer, but found out it's a great navigator, and it doesn't use up data from my phone service like Google maps does. I would have given it 5 stars, but I haven't been able to pare it with my Bluetooth headset.

Great directions, blue tooth wonderful, excellent screen viewing.

Upgraded from system several years old with a 5 inch screen. New Garmin is great. Easy to see and easy to use. Really like the voice command and the sync to my phone.
