Love it! Easy to use! The speaker function is awesome!

Best Buy would not exchange even though purchase was within one month. I am one of Best Buys, best customers. However, that did not matter. I referred to the Garmin, saying that there was nothing that Best Buy could do for me. I am a Garmin fan and have zero problems and only the best to say about Garmin. However, after an hour with a Garmin factory tech they told be that it was unfixable and to send it in. After the factory directed reboot the latest and greatest 2689LMT, froze up, over heated and died.

My wife and I used it the weekend we received it on a trip to Philadelphia. We were within 100 yards of our hotel and our route was blocked due to a street event. I love how it recalculated our route immediately after we had to take a detour.

My mistake was in buying another Garmin, albeit with more features than my older unit, hoping they had corrected prior deficiencies in the interim. They had not: the GPS still sends you on wild goose chases, has a tendency to choose the absolute worst, small road, tiny towns and lots of traffic lights-route in its quest to be "shorter", despite my best attempt at appropriate (or available) settings. I spent long, extra hours trying to fight my way out of southwest, rural PA, going down every tiny, winding rural road there was, when I should have stuck with I-76 and I-79....perhaps more distance but MUCH less time and danger. Major failing Garmin just doesn't get is that a traffic light TAKES TIME, and should be counted on, when figuring "fastest". Wound up taking it back for refund, suppressing a strong urge to smash it, in utter frustration!

Outstanding product and has never let me down. Took it from the east coast to the Midwest and it was perfect. Don't know how I ever got by without it.

I really enjoy how it updates when the device is plugged into computer.

English is not a supported language for speech directions, when I bought it in the US. People say you can troubleshoot it and download the correct file and bypass that but why would I do that on a brand new device. Garmin messed up such a key feature, and I returned the device within days.

Very fast cpu and highly programmable settings. Voice controller is very intuitive. First gps I have ever had that I have no complaints about.

I have to repeat voice commands and sometimes that doesn't work

I have had Garmens in the past and have found them to be invaluable in finding locations when I have no clue where the destinations are located.

This machine is awesome just love it not only the machine but the Young Lady Who help me pick it out

I have used it several times and it is gotten me where I wanted to go. Tried hooking up Bluetooth to my iPhone it worked but reception was pretty bad. Calls seem to be breaking up in not clear. For that reason I only gave it four stars. Will know more later.

Need a different type of GPS for Commercial Driving

I only gave this product a mid-rating because I have not been able to get much use from it. It somehow switched itself to speaking Spanish; even with the manual downloaded, I cannot figure out how to get it back to English. (My college Spanish was not directed toward techie toys!) It's occurred to me that if I take it back to the store (being sure to check it in at the front desk as I enter, of course!), maybe someone there can reset it for me, if the machine will even cooperate. I'm a prodigious reader and go through a stack of assorted library books every week, but somehow I cannot manage to get the operator's manual directions through to my fingers.

My first garmin was 255w and it was a very nice product. The garmin 2689lmt blows it away. I love the lane assist the most. Has all the features you could want and more. Buy it you won't be sorry.

Went to the evansville store where they took care of me very well after leaving the owensboro store upset. Will never go back to the owensboro store but I highly recommend the evansville store..

Works perfect on highway and rural roads. Very accurate and fast. Would recommend to anyone that wants a superior product at a good price.

I need to return to Best Buy. It stopped working. Will not recharge. I trust the Garmin brand and will get another Garmin to replace it.

I rep;aced a tom tom unit I've had for 8 years---the garmin I have purchased is head and shoulders above in technology and is very easy to use. Highly recommend this product.

Have had no issues with it putting me in the wrong place. when you get to major intersections it pops up a jpg of the intersection so you can see it ahead of time.
