I travel frequently for business and wanted the best GPS experience I could find. Even though it is a bit pricey in these days of smartphone GPS devices, I am extremely happy with the Garmin nuvi 3597 LMTHD. It has a beautiful, bright, responsive 5" touchscreen. After getting used to the updated interface on the nuvi, I find that it is less distracting while driving, provides more information at your fingertips, and is lightning fast in all operations. Even the magnetic mount deserves a nod - I love how easy/quick it is to use. The only thing that I would ask Garmin to tweak is regarding upcoming lane changes/guidance. My old nuvi provided a couple seconds more warning about these things than the new unit. Not a deal breaker for me, but if you have a lead foot, be aware.

I was looking for a very nice replacement gps and this guy fit the bill. The screen is bright the overall design is well done. And the icing on the cake is the phone feature. I use it all the time now, great hands free option.

This is by far the best and easiest gps I have ever used. Its so easy and the touch screen is great. it tells you when there is traffic, delays, which is the fastest route etc. It also has a search function that you can just type in the name of the place you are looking for e.g best buy and it will find all of the best buys near you. very handy. The only drawback is that sometimes it doesnt find all the results in the search, for e.g there may be 5 best buys near you but it will only pick up 3. other than that, its a great gps

Lots of features and very easy to use. Difficult to get the traffic working and only got it to work after contacting Garmin to figure out how to update the traffic software (not done automatically out of the box). Now works great!

Packed full of features, but it lacks in a few areas. The unit can only hold about 1 map update before memory fills up. It still can't figure out optimal routes. The other issue is that it doesn't always come into alignment when trying to attach to magnetic mount.

This Item was bought for my daughter who uses it in her Patrol Car. It is very user friendly, I like the lifetime updates so you will always have the latest address changes.

this is my second garmin nevi and i have enjoyed both, my first was a basic model i purchased as a refirb unit, still works great after 3 years.. this unit is an upgrade and i would highly recommend garmin nevi's at any level

This is my second Garmin Nuvi. It is easier to use than the first Garmin. The larger screen and the inset view of the intersection your turning at makes navigation easier.

This is one of the best GPS units I've ever used. Garmin has really out done themselves! My wife and I have one older GPS that is now on the chopping block. We'll be replacing it soon with another Garmin - nuvi 3597LMTHD !

Heard this product form a friend. Easy to use. It is very helpful to have many languages to choose. And it is very convenient for non-English speaking drivers to use. If the price could be lower, it will be perfect.

I've taken two trips since I bought my Garmin 5 and it has worked beautifully. Twice it identified road delays and guided me around the delays saving precious time. Also, I love the hands free voice command feature!

Great product. I own several different Garmin products and am satisfied overall. The NUVI 3597 advertises Digital Traffic. After the purchase I was unable to receive the traffic signal. Called Garmin support and was told that my area currently does not have Digital Traffic but it would be available soon. Garmin support would not elaborate on when soon would be. Over a month and waiting. Another Garmin NUVI I own does have traffic but is not digital. You should read the fine print and also investigate further.

What is great about this model is that it shows the cross streets ahead of you in large, readable letters. When you are navigating, it will often use local sites to guide you: i.e. make a right turn at the Shell station. The only aspect that does not work as well is voice recognition navigation. You can say the address as clearly as you want, but it often completely misunderstands. Other than that: Fantastic

I have owned two other Garmin GPS, and this is, by far, the best of them all. I primarily use it for the Bluetooth, since NJ has the "hands free" law. The other two left much to be desired, as far as that function was concerned. This one is crystal clear, and you do not need to shout to be heard. Now no man would admit this, but I find that the directions are right on, and it shows you where Restaurants, Gas Stations, Hospitals, etc. are all around while traveling to the destination that you are going to. It may be a bit pricey, but it is well worth the investment!

Traveling for business, it's not always easy being on a cell phone while trying to use the phone for map directions. I believe in buying quality and found GARMIN to be a Great brand. Only problem I found was that when you start the GPS, the "maps" are all automatic but the TRAFFIC is not. Weird! Let's see, I bought because it has maps and traffic.........but ONLY the MAPS are set to load? Engineers. got to love 'em. VERY happy with the unit. 3 of the 4 Garmin support team members were awesome.

With a larger sreen than my iPhone 5s, it is easier to see the map than using Google Maps on an iPhone, but Google maps has better and more up date traffic data, and a better search function.
