Posted .Thank you for the review. Unfortunately, the pedestrian mode has been removed from our current automotive devices for a while now. While this won't provide specific walking directions, you can change the Calculation Mode to "Off Road", which will give you a straight line to your destination. This can be very useful when walking with the nuvi, as it at least shows you the direction that you need to travel to reach your end point.
To do this on the nuvi 3597LMTHD:
1. Touch Settings
2. Touch Navigation
3. Touch Calculation Mode
4. Scroll down
5. Select Off Road
6. Touch Save
Now you can use the device to select where you want to travel and you will get an idea of where to navigate on foot.
