After waiting three weeks for a fix I gave up. I purchased the Garmin-nuvi 55LM based on customer reviews and the excellent Best Buy price. I am very glad I bought this device. My only problem has been the slow response to satellite location pickup. (Never got that TOM TOM fix!)

I simply set it up, then walked them through the steps to make adjustments while using it - my dad love the avoid tolls feature even if that means going 200 miles out of his way : ) So far it was simple and their drive 1,400 mile trip went smooth.
