Your device may have encountered an error in the mapping and because of this we would recommend a map update on your device. Updates are completed through a program called Garmin Express which can be downloaded from Garmin's website (www.garmin.com/express). I turned my navigation on my phone on and it was fine. My maps being not up to date disappointed me since the device was new. Also instead of accepting the rout I chose it would always try to redirect me back instead of reconfiguring a new route. Other than that worked fine.
