Not as much information on upcoming turns as accustomed to on older models. Would definitely recommend upgrading older models than buying this model.

It works great overall. The phone option for calls is OK the mic seems a little iffy in my car but it works. And when doing updates shortly after purchasing I needed to add a memory card in order to upper the device. I didn't get a warning so I had to figure out on my own that I was out of memory on the device. Other that that the device is great

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the third garmin gps I have bought the last one I did a stupid thing when home from a trip I too down my ezee pass and took my gps off my car window and put it on my wife's car trunlk gust to get it out of my way empty my car and forgot about the bps she backed out of the driveway not knowing it was there it must have fallen off and went by the end of the driveway and some one must have picked it up

Posted .Thank you for your feedback on your Garmin nüvi 55LM. We hope to address the concern you pointed out in your review.
Your device has four different options to selection from prior to it create a route. These options are "Faster Time", "Shorter Distance", "Off Road", and "Less Fuel".
Also your device gives you a couple options to select from when you press on "Routes" after finding a location. When pressing "Routes" you will be shown a map with the two different routes to choose from along with the map showing exact the way each option will route you.
Lastly you have the option to change the route by pressing "Change Route". To get to this option, press the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the lower right corner of the "View Map" screen and then press "Change Route". There you will see several different options, three of which are "Detour - Find a different route", "Detour by Distance", and "Detour by Road".
