My previous Garmin GPS failed to work on a trip at Christmas time. I purchased a new Garmin in Connecticut so I would have use of it on the way home. On at least 4 occasions it gave me incorrect directions. Had I not know the correct way to get home I would have had a real problem. I do not attribute the problem to "shortest distance," fastest route," etc. reasons as the cause of the problem. I did update maps upon returning home but have not had to use the GPS since then. The Garmin GPS that I had to replace was a Garmin Nuvi 42LM.which I purchased 9/17/14. As it only worked for 27 months before having to be replaced, I'm beginning to have my doubts about Garmin's quality!!!!!!!!!!

My boyfriend needed it last minute to drive to Florida from Pennsylvania. Maybe there's a learning curve with it, but it seemed to reroute a lot even when it wasn't necessary. I'm not sure whether to recommend it because I wasn't in the vehicle.

All gps's use mapquest so the reliability is the same across the board. Bestbuy needs to have a better selection to choose from and not push people to use internet sales. Some people like to actually touch and try out things before they buy

This has great features, but a few times it has taken me North when I needed to go South and directed me to down the highway and turn around. When I realized I was going the wrong way, I used my iPhone directions and it takes me a better route.

The item was bought for a couple in their mid-70's. Once they had a demonstration, they were able to use the navigation system. However, they were not fond of the directions being given through audio. They preferred to read them instead.

I am a big Garmin fan and use them in my flying career also. This was for my car. It might have been the area I was in, but I kept getting the GPS signals dropped. In other regions it was fine (I was in Colorado, but not in the mountains)

The printer's overall function of everything that I want printing copying scanning. However it sloughed it very clunky to hear working and you practically have to reprogram it every time you use it.. I would not purchase this one again.

I love the features of this newer garmin. I have been using Garmin for a long time now. However i noticed this product, even with updated maps, does not give me quickest route. My cell phone doesa much better job.

The voice mispronounces the names of cities and streets, which is very confusing if you are unfamiliar with the area. Pronounced Philadelphia, Phila, Kresson road, K R Essen Road, Pineville road, Pin ville Road. Terrible

It's a fine unit for the price. Sadly it's not easy to put a way point in and doesn't have an arrival time to destination. I like updates for life, now I will find out what it's lifetime in real world driving will be.

Was perfect for my vacation, only issues I had is sometimes it told me the wrong turn, luckily I knew where I was going at that point! For the most part it got us to and from our vacation with minimal issues !

This unit is not close to my other Garmin unit but meets the needs for running around the US and its cities. Does not have Canada and does not include traffic. But I knew this when I purchased.

I bought this to use in rural areas where cell phone service is limited. My cell phone seems to pick smarter routes then the GPS in most cases. I only use this if needed and I have no cell service.

Should have known from the price. Does the job, but not as nice as other GPS's I have owned. Screen is not bright enough in bright daylight. If you are looking for a bare bones GPS this is it.

When u try to find a fast and direct route to go this does not help u. And also trying to avoid parkways

The map on this unit is not much different or improved than an older one I had. That's ok, I like the map. However, entering the address you would like to go to is a pain in the neck. The names that it anticipates I'm trying to type are never correct, and then once I get the name in, the unit will search my state and three surrounding ones for the town name. I would rather it be like the old one and just search my state.

I owned a Nuvi 255W & loved it. I Got the Nuvi57LM & Hate it! This model is nothing like my old one. It has a ton of useless places downloaded & takes up memory. It is very difficult to program. It took me an hour to change the state I was located in, it kept telling me I had to travel 455 miles to get to my house when I was sitting at home.

The garmin has a lot of good new features but the worst part of it is how bad the touch screen is, You gave to touch above what ever you are trying to or it won't work

I use my Garmin everyday what I don't like about it is when I put an address in it searches many states. If I wanted to search other states I would enter it but I don't

I think the technology "looks" great but the terminology awkward. I will use it for rural trips but it is disconcerting to be sent the long way to a local venue.
